Shark - Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright Vacuum with Powered Lift-Away and Self-Cleaning Brushroll - Rose Gold

This is probably the best vacuum I have ever purchased, light weight, ease of use, easy to put together and it really does a great job of picking up the dirt.

The Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Upright is exactly what a neat freak w/ OCD should own!!! You can feel the weight of the machine as you start it up (after you've adjusted the pile setting for hard floors, carpet, etc.). I have been using another brand unit for the past 15 yrs approx. & was happy with it for almost all of those years. It provided me an introduction into the upscale vacuum product & also gave me some great ideas on what it was lacking & what I liked. This Shark machine has all I was looking for & more!!! Pros: Versatility - it can become a canister vac, mobil detail unit for the vehicle, deep cleaning machine for furniture & mattresses and even a deep clean machine for the hard to reach, often forgotten places (under the fridge or oven - how long has it been since you actually swept under there?!) Easy to Assemble - The joints and nerves in my hands are under constant attack, which make even the smallest “grip”/“grab” task mildly frustrating. After waiting a week for help to put it together, I decided to “suck it up buttercup” and try myself. It was all of about 5 steps & BOOM - we've got a new “toy” in the house! Gadgets/Gizmos/Attachments/Accessories - There is an accessory for almost any task in your home & automobile! I haven't tried them all yet, but very excited to do so! Hopefully it's a breeze to use them & attach them as it was to put together the entire machine! Bonus - I don't often purchase a product on the actual brand website, but after a night of insomnia, I stumbled on this paid programming segment (as well as the hair dryer…so I may have that on my next Shark/Ninja product acquisition list!). I was so shocked that a vacuum could do ALL of that, plus you'd get bonus accessories & items as well as an extended warranty option all for purchasing on the site! SOLD - sign me up! Cons: Weight/Vibration - As mentioned previously, I do have severe hand issues, so although I was amazed at how “fluffy” my carpet felt after vacuuming SLOWLY for my first test run & how I feel like that carpet hasn't actually been cleaned this whole time, after a little bit, I could feel the tingling and vibration for the next couple hours. Not a deal breaker, just definitely a thought to consider - ensure you have the energy & appropriate rest time afterward if you suffer the same symptoms. Attachment Storage - it lacks the “on the unit” storage of most competitors & wish it did have clip places to attach them to the unit itself. Instead, they give you a bag to put it in. Which this is fine if your household is of the same mindset as you - but if you live in the “real world” like I do, it's likely that you live with folks who don't put things back where they belong, therefore you're likely to have lost or M.I.A. Accessories. So here's to hoping my “happy-go-lucky” loved ones heed my warnings if they do not store the accessories back in their designated & appropriate area! :)

I bought my first Shark a month ago. This past month has completely changed my cleaning routine. The Vertex DuoClean completely surpassed all of my expectations! It flawlessly changes between each “mode” to say (stick, wand, upright) and never misses a crumb or dust bunny. It's so easy to clean and unlike other vacuums, does not vault dusty air into the room. I went from vacuuming once a week to probably once a day because it actually keeps dog hair off of my floor rather than blowing it all over the room like other vacuums. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with hardwood, tile, low carpet, high carpet, or any other flooring.

I have to go over the same area multiple time to get pet fur. I have three cats so I vacuum several time a week. This is not a good machine for carpet. I returned my vacuum after 2 uses.
