Staub - Cast Iron 12-inch Square Grill Pan - Cherry

I think I got a reject. My pan has a noticeable notch in the enamel. Everything sticks to it regardless of seasoning, cooking oil, spray, anything. The ridges are impossible to clean. I cooked some marinated steak on it and there is now permanent chunks of blackened whatever in the ridges that all the scrubbing in the world will not remove. It also smokes like crazy. I realize if I add some oil ( to keep meat from sticking) I should expect a little smoke, but this smokes so much you have to open every window in the house smoky. That is with the burner turned to medium high, anything past low medium and forget it. Too bad I love my other Staub products, but this is trash.

Seers and cooks meet to perfect tenderness and great flavor. Clean up is a breeze. Can't wait to try the grill press we purchased with it.

I am very happy with this grill. The enamel coating means no seasoning and a much easier cleaning process than traditional cast iron grills. The iron heats very evenly and holds the temperature ensuring even cooking and great markings. The deep channels between the ridges allow fat to flow away from my food and not sit in it.

I love using a grill pan for stovetop burgers , chops and steaks. The staub Cast iron grill pan has always been my go to... I know that it used to have spouts on the side and now they are gone, that is a terrific improvement in my mind because storing the one with the spouts was always the issue. Issue gone!

Wow!! what a color. this is a pan for summertime grilling! Indoor or out, this is perfect for grilled meats or vegetables. The grates are a perfect width for excellent grill marks. It's everything you would expect from Staub. Innovative black matte interior is self seasoning, durable and food will release easily. Stove, oven, grill, table. Great pan.
