I had so many questions in my mind about whether to order this phone or not. I couldn't get all the answers I wanted from other reviews or doing other internet research so I dived in and bought it knowing that Walmart stands behind their products. It took me about a week to get the phone. This is what I got: A brand new phone, NOT refurbished. It comes with an earbud, one battery, a charger with a 5 ft. long cord, and an instruction booklet. There was no case, screen protectors or any other extras. The model no. is SGH-M919), Android version 4.4.4 The back cover of the phone states that is is a T-Mobile Galaxy S-4. It has a 1.9 GHZ quad core processor. This is a GSM phone. I bought this phone because I originally wanted to use one of the Walmart Family Mobile Plans. These plans use the T-Mobile system. However, after I had made the purchase and was still waiting for delivery, I had changed my mind and decided I would rather have T-Mobile's $30/month plan which gives you 100 minutes of talk, unlimited text, and 5GB 4G LTE data. This is a Walmart only plan, you have to buy your phone from Walmart and need to buy the $30 starter kit. I kept wondering if my phone was going to be locked to the Walmart Family Mobile plans and I would not be able to get the T-Mobile plan. Well, the day arrived, I picked up my phone, and I went over to the phone department at my Walmart and I bought the $30 kit. The people at Walmart didn't know if I was going to succeed. A Walmart associate had stated in a review that this could be done. She was right. I went home and tried to activate the phone on the T-Mobile website. Evidently there was some kind of locking problem with the phone. I called T-Mobile and it took a little time to sort this out but I got what I wanted. I have been using the phone for 2 weeks and have not had any problems. The 4G LTE is great. The plan I have is great if you don't use the talk a lot. If you go over the 100 minute allocation there is a $0.10/minute charge. When you activate the phone with your $30 activation kit you get your first month free so it's the same as free activation and free sim card. I would rate this phone a 5 Star but for one reason. It comes preloaded with 9 bookmarks that you cannot delete or change position. So everytime I go to my bookmarks I have to scroll down through these unwanted bookmarks to get to the bookmark I want. Also, it comes preloaded with a lot of Apps that you can't delete either. These Apps run in the background eating up your battery and there is nothing you can do to get rid of them. I've installed an "App Killer" but these Apps keep coming back. I'm glad I bought this phone. The people at Walmart and T-Mobile are the greatest. I had to talk to about 4 people at T-Mobile to activate this phone but everyone was really trying their best to help me out. I couldn't ask for more.

I purchase this phone as my LG90 would only pick on the 2G connection even though I was paying for 4G LTE. I spend more of course on this one and to my surprise I got a lot more too. I Didn't want spend more than 300 dollars on a new phone and at 299.00 to me, that's a bargain compared to cost of the S5 and S6. Which I might upgrade later if the price comes down them. but as for Now I'm more than happy with this one. Very simple to use and I love it.

I owned a Galaxy S2 then the home buttons stopped working so I no choice but to get a new phone. At the price Walmart was offering getting an S4 was no-brainer and have not been disappointed. It's light and just the right size, so far I have not had any issue after a month.

I had a Galaxy S1 at one time and was not happy with it because the battery would die very quickly - only 4 or 5 hours at the most. I got an S4 a couple of years ago and was VERY happy with the battery life (2 days!!), even with heavy use. I had to give up that phone, but recently purchased another one. I absolutely LOVE this phone. It has a lot of storage and even that can be expanded. Great phone!!!
