I bought this lawn mower last Fall at the end of the season, didn't have much occasion to use it then. But this Spring I changed the oil and began using it. Well that little Briggs Engine runs terrible. Great before it's warmed up but after it's warmed up it sputters, spits, back fires etc etc. No adjustment on the carburetor so it cannot be adjusted. I don't know what I'm going to do with this thing. Cuts OK, but runs terrible. Not typical of a small Briggs at all? I'm not too happy! I've tried changing and re gaping the plug, not much else can be done? Wish I could hear what Briggs & Stratton has to say about this?

I bought it because it was inexpensive, only used to trim around trees... until riding mower quit. This thing is tough. I've had it for several years now and just used it to clear 2 acres.

First mower I ever bought that I didn't have to put together, just pour out of the box add oil/gas and pull the rope. Where I live now is dusty and had to take out the air filter, clean it to get that solid purr of the engine again. Would have expected that with any mower. Great mower, would buy it again.

ITS JUNK PLAIN AND SIMPLE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Spend you money on a decent mower like, toro are ANYTHING but this piece of yard art. yard art is all it will ever be becase it wont run long enough to do anything else.

This lawnmower started once and then would not start. Everything checked out, but the air filter was coated with a clear grease that blocked all air passage through the filter. After washing the filter is gasoline - the grease was hard to remove - the engine started on the 2nd pull. The filter housing also had to be cleaned. The grease had to have been applied intentionally at the Briggs and Stratton factory to negatively effect Poulan (Weedeater) or Walmart, or both.
