Wemo Switch Smart Plug, No Hub Required

I just bought three more Belkin Wemo switches for Christmas lights, which brings the total number of Wemo devices at my home to 19, including light switches. I love the fact I can control them on several different schedules, including using internet time for dusk and dawn. I can also control them remotely to provide some measure of peace-of-mind when we are away from home. I use them for security and to enhance the setting of the house at night when guests visit.

Bought this before Christmas to use for turning on and off my tree and this made my life easier because the outlet was under a table. Once we had it set up it was great to be able to ask Alexa to turn off the tree and now we have a light under a fantastic picture. What a difference it makes. We enjoy the first one so much we bought 2 additional.

We already had 2 WeMo switches and added 2 more. I love the convenience. I connect them to my Amazon Echo for voice commands which always impresses my guests. My only negative is that it takes a while to connect to the internet & the Echo which can be frustrating. Once connected it's great.

This lot of 2 is an expansion to existing 8 WEMO switches, 2 Insight switches, 3 light switches and 3 motion sensors. On the most part they are working, occasionally losing wifi connection. There is one light switch that refuses to connect any more probably after 3 months of use -- no matter of all kinds of reset and reboot!

I own 5 of these switches, and use them all the time. On lights, Christmas lights, etc. Love being able to control my lighting if I'm not home. The Wemo app works great on my IPhone, been using these switches for a couple years now and other than an occasional reset have not had any issues at all. Good job Belkin !!
