I don't know what everyone is talking about. We have an active dog who is in the woods often and has never picked up a tick or flea since wearing this collar. Before he was on a topical med and was constantly picking up ticks which we thought wasn't a problem as the topical med would kill the ticks, right? NO! We were wrong -- he got Rocky Mountain Spotted fever. Learned that the disease can be transmitted in about 2 hours of being bit and the topical flea and tick drops don't kill the tick until 6 hours. Plenty of time for the tick to transfer the disease. Figured it would be prudent to REPEL the ticks and never give them an oppty to bite. It's been 4 months and has worked great -- no ticks. I don't know about the collar falling off as we zip-tied it to his regular collar strictly because he has a long neck (he's a big dog) and the collars would flop around. Very pleased with the product. No complaints.
I bought 6 of these for all my babies. Thought it would save overall money and it hasn't because I had to re-buy the original collars. 1st they are not secure. They are easy to fall off, cheaply made. 2nd I put on my dog after a flea bath and they still got fleas. I do a lot of business on Wal-Mart.Com and would personally like my money back on this flunk of an item or at the very least a credit. I was expecting better quality in Pet Armor than this. I vote 1 star because 0 stars does not count. A waste of my time and a waste of my MONEY : (
We have had problems with fleas tremendously this year. We paid $25 for this collar for each of our dogs. Did not kill the first flea! The biggest waste of money!
Horrible!!! A waste of money! I'll stick with seresto, a little pricey but it works great!
Used Serestor collars in past....worked wonderful and lasted. Also strong collar held up to big dog with energy. Not these.... first they are flimsy and dont stay tight around dogs neck...... and second, THEY DONT WORK ..... AFTER A WEEK + DOG STILL AS FLEAS. The Serestor kills them totally within 2 days!!!! Notice they dropped the price $10..... still a waste of money!!!!
i bought this for my dog...he is a 50 lb blue heeler/border collie mix..i had to put the collar back on him 3 times as it kept coming off...the collar came off of him the last time AND HE ATE PART OF IT.. it does NOT kill fleas it does NOT repel fleas...i gave him a bath..sprayed our house..treated our yard...my dog still has fleas..this product does not work..AT ALL..
I bought this yesterday and put it on my dog right away. He was itching this morning, but not as bad. I normally buy seresto collar, but they were out and this looked simular. I know its not as good as what I want. I still have flea issues and will have ro buy a seresto collar. I think I waisted money buying this.
We have used the Serestor collars before and they work great. Tried this one because it was so inexpensive and you get two. Has a very strong lingering scent, but does not smell bad, kind of a baby powder smell. The biggest drawback is that the collars will not stay on our dog. We tried securing it several ways and once the loop broke it fell off in no time and was gone. We have basically tied on the second one but don't expect it to stay on. I do not recommend this product if you dog is the least bit active.
I bought these collars for my dogs. I put these collars on three dogs and a serresto flea collar on the fourth. On day two I had to remove these collars from the three dogs because they were itching at their necks non stop. The dogs with the serresto collar wasn't itching herself at all. These collars are complete garbage. I've bought serresto collars in the past and never had a problem. I tried to save a little money, so I gave these a try. Now I've got $50 in the trash, and still have to buy the serresto collars.
I would say these do not work. Not only do they not stay on properly but I found a tick on my dog this morning!
