I ordered because of "Arty" pain increase my wrist*
This is the second one I've gotten. The first one's magnet broke off to no fault of its own (husband). It lasted 10 years. The cord tucks in nice and neat. The top comes off easily enough to be washed regularly and goes back on with the same amount of sturdiness. I haven't found one thing to complain about.
It works really good and it also so blends in great with my kitchen aid appliances!!! Also i can sharpen my knifes

This can opener is truly strong, seems to be very well built and it's beautiful for a Darker red (but not very dark) decor/accent. It does well with tall cans, heavy cans etc. and has extra features as well. It has an easy clean feature which is a plus. I really like it. My only thing is the can lid is very strange looking warped after cut and usually does not adhere to the magnet, usually items needing a can opener need drained so it's not a big deal to me but it's strange. It really is powerful though and everything most people would need in a can opener. And again, the easy clean feature, that's a big plus!
I have only owned one electric can opener in my life and that is because the first one I've ever had was not masterly; therefore, always owning manual can opener's. Arthritis has come in to play with me not being able to use the manual ones any further. I was very skeptical but to my surprise, this little thing has been so awesome. It is very fast and does perform way better than I expected it would! To top it off, the lid magnet really does work! Happy with my purchase.
Arthritis in my hands made me need an electric can opener. This one performs exactly as described. I'm very pleased with it.
Grabs the can quickly, turns smoothly, opens the can & holds the lid securely. My only complaint is that I've got to hold the can opener when opening a large (heavy) can, even though it's advertised as being a "heavy duty" opener.
We had what seemed to be this same model for about 10 years, but replaced it because it had gotten grungy, and the magnetic part that catches the lid had broken (but the opener part still worked fine), and we wanted to change from white to red. This can opener is pretty, and the bottom is solid, but the top part that you push down to open cans is made of plastic! We decided to give it a try, even though the old one was metal and we had a feeling this one wouldn't last. Lo and behold, we were right. Two months of light, careful use and it snapped. And it was never strong enough to open big cans. Makes me sad because it's so pretty, but returning to Walmart tomorrow.
