Really easy and fun to use.
Works great. I can now read the exact temp instead of idiot lights. Allows me to cook to a more precise degree of "doneness."
Takes guess work on cooking temperature of grilling food. Much better than probing meat and touching it to feel if its done. No more guessing.
exactly what we were looking for, works great & good price
Living in South Florida outdoor grillng can be done pretty much year round. This item is very helpful kept by your outdoor grill particularly when you have guests over and there are different requests for doneness. Never a doubt about being over cooked or under cooked. Makes it easy and perfect every time. Of course this item is also handy to use in the kitchen as well, but I predominantly would be using this product for outdoor grilling.
We received this in January 2010. It works well and served it's purpose. We used it at least once a week. I never trusted meat that was grilled as it has a different color than if you cook it inside. So this was very nice to have. The battery just now died in it (Aug 2010).
I previously purchased and returned a competitor fork thermometer and was disappointed with its slow response and that it had to be washed very carefully. Other opinions raved about this Taylor Weekend Warrior. They were right. It's totally waterproof and it registers meat temperature in just a few seconds. It works and the price is right.
Takes the guesswork out of grilling.
With all the thermostats out there this one is a little big. Had no problems with it. Has a light on it in case your cooking at night. I use it camping. I would recommend it.
I think this thermometer is neat, very easy to use and select your meats/doneness. It seems to work well. However it is a little flimsy or lets say not hefty, but then again, not like it was that expensive.
