Not too much for one cooking, enough a dish.
Excellent quality bamboo shoots. Crisp and moist.
Great price in the bundle for less than a dollar per can I can add some crunch to my stir fry or a salad anytime.
No problems with this order

Great for My home cooking
I really appreciate Walmart carrying these, more budget, sliced bamboo shoots. They are good, perhaps a bit more pungent than others that I have had, but that's the character of the product, I believe. Like all cans these days, they are so thin that it is difficult to open manually & you have to fight to get the lid off (see picture). Especially if you're going to cut a few drain holes first. A small inconvenience, for the price, I'd say. These bamboo shoots are good, & at the price, you can include them in more of your recipes, as well as using two cans in some of your dishes. If not just for bulking the content, adding to the taste, than perhaps for the health benefits of the bamboo shoots. I further sliced them up, (julienne) as I wanted them for a soup, as well as something else that I was making. They are like any other shoot that way, & added to the recipes just fine.
I like bamboo shoots a lot. I sometimes buy this can be a cheap alternative to the fresh one in Asian market. It is a hit or miss. I had cans with fresh ones that were okay. I also had many cans with old ones that are very stringy and fiber-y, it feels like I am cheing thread. I guess this is poor quality control. There should not be any old ones in the can because they are basically inedible.
Some of the shoots were ok, but many were inedible.... I personally feel they had little flavor and are cut too long. I used them in my homemade Chinese soup, however decided they will not be used again!
Great food, but ordering them from walmart.com appears to ensure that they are dented.
