I love that there is an alternative to pork ‘n beans, and these are delicious especially adding to sautéed chopped onions and sweet pepper with an optional bit of Earth Balance or oil. However, like many canned foods they have a high level of sodium and sugar.

Cloyingly sweet. Any health benefits from the beans is countered by the additional sugar added. Couple of bites and, as much as I hate to waste, into the trash it went. Never again!
