After buying store brand rice for nearly ever, I tried Nishiki from Jet. All I can say, is my family and I love it! It has great flavor and turns out perfectly! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Don't try making sticky rice with uncle ben's, you have to use a product like this. This is the brand I use and this is the only brand at walmart (or my local one anyway) that will work for sushi. You have to make it in a specific way, rinsing it first before cooking and adding rice vinegar and sugar but there are plenty of recipes online on how to do it correctly but it does start with using the right rice for the job. I have no complaints with the rice, turns out great every time.

This is the closest rice to the real stuff my husband had a taste of in Japan. I cook it in my rice cooker and it comes out great, nice and sticky and tasty.

I love this rice and purchase it often. This review is to inform customers of Walmart price spikes. I purchased 3 of these in October at $3.51 each and in less than 4 months ONE BAG GOES UP TO $14.89??!!!! WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT??!!

Cooks very well, great for sushi if you rinse beforehand, fan and add seasoned rice vinegar afterwards. Still might try to find a shorter grain alternative, since it's harder to make small rolls, but the quality/consistency/flavor are otherwise excellent.

I usually buy 6 bags at a time from these but after the price increase of $11 I will definitely not be repurchasing unless the price goes back to what it was.
