We purchased this product in combination with the Deep Cleaning Carpet Shampoo to clean our wool area rug that three tiny kittens decided to use as their potty station. I was hesitant at first to use this product because I was told that citrus smells are unpleasant to cats and didn't want to create a bigger problem with my adult cats if the fragrance would deter them from an area (as some individual's use citrus oils for behavioral deterrence). Not the case here. The fragrance was clean and fresh, ever so slightly orange in scent that dissipated quickly and most importantly cleaned and removed the stains and odors I could find. I love having pets. They are my "children" of choice, but I am mortified if someone comes into my home and immediately notices that we have cats (4, well 7 if you count the kittens and 2 dogs) even worse if the odor of rancid cat urine is covered by perfume. I would add that this is a cleaning product and not a behavioral/training aid for those who are experiencing inappropriate urination with their cats, this product is not going to fix that.
AMAZING AND OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! This product is absolutely FABULOUS!!! I was stunned to see it work so well. Not only does it, most importantly, remove all types of stains, but it has a great fragrance & stops future pet accidents where it was sprayed. I had areas of up to 7 ft. in diameter with old pet stains and one with a red wine stain. The difficult ones needed a few spray repeats, but shortly became stain history. I gave a bottle of it to my daughter, and now it is her only "Choice". How many times have we purchased a product only to feel like we've been had? Finally, a product that does what it professes to claim, REMOVES STAINS. Thank you!!!!
I am very disappointed with this product. I used approximately 3/4 of a bottle, over three separate applications, on a pillow that my kitten had urinated on, and the smell still remains. I made sure to thoroughly soak the area and scrub, and it still seems to have made no difference at all. Of course I didn't keep the receipt, so I can't even make use of the money back guarantee. Will not buy this product again.
I have used 2 gallons of this product and my carpet still smells horrible. Honestly, it smells worse than before. We followed all the instructions including pulling up the carpet and padding and spraying all the surfaces. There is no more urine source on my floors as I used my carpet scrubber on the floor over 10 times before I used the NM Just for Cats. I'm wishing I hadn't wasted my money as it is almost $30 gallon where I live. So now not only does my carpet smell even worse, I'm out almost $60.
DO NOT ruin your rugs or furniture; the new formula in the orange bottle is AWFUL! There is a lot of feedback online from people who have the same problem...I used it TWO YEARS ago on my carpet, and the NM smell won't go away. I've treated it with vinegar, baking soda, etc. with no luck. The old formula was fine, but this new stuff is gross, and I'd rather have the pet odor. I just tried getting rid of the odor again today, soaking the carpet in warm water with detergent, in the hopes of covering over the NM odor with at least something more pleasant, but nope, its still there. This has been going on for TWO years. I will have to throw out this oriental carpet.
