THE Gold Standard of Budget Vacuums!

Once in a while, we purchase a product that far exceeds our expectations - this is one of those products! I previously had the next model up, a bagless model, and was deeply dissapointed. This vac is worlds better in several ways. Let's look at the pros and cons of this model... Pros: Very lightweight, relatively quiet, excellent suction - even on a nearly filled bag. True height adjustment vs. "automatic" (IOW none) on some comparable models. Beater bar lifts WAY up when the handle is in the upright position - less likely to accidentally damage carpet when using tools, and I've seen vacs melt perfectly good commercial carpet. Has never clogged, even when chasing a Siberian Husky around. Cons: Power cord is short. Extension wand is still too short considering the hose does not stretch - to vac cobwebs along the ceiling, I have to pick up the vac in one hand and hold the wand in the other. Overall I could not be more pleased considering the very affordable price of this vac. Bags are cheap, and there is no mess of cleaning out a bagless system. If it does break, I'll definitely buy another, and have recommended it to several friends.

Not just good for the price, but a good vacuum!

My vacuum takes a lot of abuse including vacuuming up cedar chips and it has never let me down. It comes with all the features of much more expensive vacuum cleaners, but at a bargain of a price. I did opt to pay for the more expensive filter bags as it gives the vacuum a lot more suction. I have replaced one belt in the years that I have owned it, but it was easy to replace and the bags and belts are VERY easy to find at Wal-Mart and inexpensive, unlike other vacuums. My only complaint is that the hose isn't neatly tucked away and sometimes I bump it of its clamp. A friend bought a more expensive bag less vacuum and I laugh because his has no suction and dumping the container creates a huge mess. I am glad to let him know I paid much less and all I have to do is replace my bag with very little dust.

I bought my first bissell upright 5 years ago, it's performance was better and beyond any other vacuum. I must admit it didn't let me down I let it down. I had to go out and by another vacuum, so which one did I get, another bissell upright, 35221 of course. I would and have recommend this vacuum to anyone including our customers.

I have used this vacuum for my cleaning business for the past 6 yrs. I have absolutely no complaints! It has fallen down stairs, been thrown in trunks and many more tuff situations. I own three of them for the company and 2 for my personal use. I have recommended this vacuum to several clients and friends.

I clean houses for a living and have used many vac. cleaners... This is an excellent machine, and it's cheap! I owned my first one for over 4 yrs. (my daughter kept dancing on it and smashing it on the kitchen floor. The plastic cracked, so I bought a new one.) I have had my clients purchase their own for me to use. I can tell you that I hate Orecks... I have never used a Dyson so I don't have an opinion on those. But as for most other bagless types, they don't seem as good as this 'el cheapo that takes old- fashioned bags. :)

I received this vacuum as a gift and am extremely pleased with it. It was easy to put together, is lightweight, has strong suction, and cleans my carpet very well. I have had several bagless vacuums in the past and, while I liked not having to buy bags, I did not like having to clean the dirty filter inside the dust cup. I think this vacuum cleans just as well, if not better, than my old bagless vacuums. This vacuum is also much quieter than other vacuums I've owned in the past. I highly recommend this vacuum.

I am on my second Bissell because I broke the first one. I bought one for my Mom too. This vacuum is a really excellent value for the price. Replacement bags are easy to find and cheap. It does the job for a very low price. My only complaint is the hose attachment sometimes comes off the vacuum. Other than that, this is a great value, a durable product, lightweight, not too loud and powerful enough to give good results. My days of spending hundred for a vacuum cleaner are over. This does the job!

A powerful workhorse!!! IF you need a good vacuum for a cheap price this is the one for you. I have had this vacuum for a few years now and am glad to see it is still on the market. Those with problems with it must not know that if you don't change the bag on time you end up clogging the whole system. I fixed this several times since my 13 y/o does love to vacuum but not change the bag. I fixed it by using a broom handle and a hanger. I took apart the bottom put the hanger in and pulled out the impacted dirt. Then I put the broom handle in thru the hose and got out the stuff inside. Once this was done my suction power was back to 100%. If you use carpert deodirizer or vacuum up things such as powder, cornstarch, etc any moisture will cause it to cake up and clog the system as well. I would definitly buy this vacuum again. I have changed the belts once yet its better then others I have had in the past where belts and bags where changed all the time. I use the hose to suck food out the couch, from under the stove, under the frig and used it to clean cobwebs out the corners when I moved into a new place. I clean behind the dryer with this as well. The only real compliants is the kids broke the piece that makes it stand up. So we have to lean it against the wall when not in use. The other is I have only been able to find accessories for this vacuum at Walmart so no dollar store cheap bags or belts nor can I find them at K**** or T***** or Sam's so I must return to Walmart and end up catching other deals that caught my eye.

When I first used this product I was extremely pleased, I have mostly tile in my home with minimal carpet so the first time it clogged on me I was quite surprised.. For the most part it has done its job very well, the hose is a little annoying when you go to use a tool. But if you keep an eye on the hoses then it suctions perfectly.. also for those that have pets like myself.. use the arm&hammer pet hair releaser, it works wonders on carpets...I sprinkle it on let it sit about 30 minutes before I vacuum.

This product does not do a proper job. I have a dog and 2 cats. This product does not pick up the animal hair. It will not allow it to go to the bag. It stops up, and I have to constantly clean it out. Then it runs for about 5 minutes and then quits again. I would not recommend this to any one with any pets.
