This is a great coffee maker for getting your coffee fix without making a whole pot of coffee! I prefer to use 2 pods of coffee and brew 2 cups for an average size mug. I bought the Senseo for my sister who loves coffee but usually only wants one or two cups. She LOVES it!!!! The Senseo is her favorite appliance in her kitchen. It is so easy to use and is incredibly fast. Very easy to clean up as well.
This is my second Senseo. It was a Valentine's gift for the office, so I can enjoy my second cup at my desk. Get a hot cup of coffee within a minute. Easy cleanup. No measuring. No fuss, just fill with water, wait 45 seconds to heat up and press a button. Dispenses right into the cup. Tons cheaper than Starbucks and every bit as good coffee.
I had my senseo coffee maker for over a year when it started making strange oises. When I called customer service they asked when I bought it. I responded over a year ago but I could not find the recipt. They asked for the number on the bottom of the pot and told me it was still under warrenty and that they would send me a new one through the mail while I sent my senseo back to them (pre-paid by them)!!! I have never had such an easy time with customer service. She actually said that it might work fine with a good cleaning but since I was worried it would be better to send it in since it was covered by the warranty (and my warranty period was running close without the receipt). The coffee it makes is pretty good. I actually like my flavored coffee from the coffee pot more but after a while the pot tastes stale where the senseo never tastes stale. I use my pods more then once also. I hit the two cup one and then I hit it again for one cup. I do not like starbucks coffee though. I would compare it more to dunkin donuts.
I use this machine at least once a day and I love it!!! I have wanted to buy this for over a year and I finally have one. The coffee is delicious and fresh every time and since I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee, it's even more convenient for me. I love the foamy layer that it makes on top...it's just a great appliance to have!
This coffee maker is fabulous. It heats the water up quickly and when I put in a double pod I have a great cup of cappucino. Good price, features and style.
After using the senseo, I'm tempted to buy another one for the office. Very convenient and fast/clean. I'm tempted also to throw out the regular coffee pots. I find that having the right kind of pod really helps. I'm in Germany and the Germans have a variety of pods (German, Central American, Italian, Brazilian coffee). The senseo band of pod really if awful. But other brands that I get over here are great. Not sure why others are having a hard time getting theirs to work - my coffee tastes well and is always hot. $62 for this kitchen device is pretty high. Made mostly of plastic, it should be in the $15-20 range.
I really enjoy my new senseo coffe pod. My other coffee pod leaked ever time I used it. The only problem I had was the water tank was cracked. Who ever packaged it was not careful

I was somewhat disappointed with the coffee maker. The coffee had a strange taste, and it was not hot. I liked the concept of being able to just put in the pod and make one cup at a time, but the coffee just was not hot enough when it came out, and it didn't taste good to me.
I returned this product to Walmart for a refund. I was unable to get it to operate properly. Then I ordered the deluxe model that has several more features than this one. Ho;efully I'll be satidfied with the upgraded model and that it functions properly.
