Watch for Net Weight when looking at competitor pricing. Looked at beef chucks and Augason Farms had more Net Weight and lower pricing of this item.
wound up opening the can to test a couple of stoves. THIS STUFF IS GOOD! bought more. a can of this will feed 2 people for two days!

I have had the pleasure and distain of trying several different companies camping/prepare food. I would say that Augason Farms is comparable to the big name out there.
Good sauce (powder) and the fettuccine stays nice and firm. But, a bit too much basil at the suggested recipe level and not much chicken in this Augason Kit. I only used half the sauce and am using the rest on pasta to get twice the meals or slightly more. I don't like my pasta swimming and only want it generously coated. Overall, surprisingly good and fresh from my just 4-year old can.
Overall good flavor and very saucy but was very disappointed that there was very little chicken in it. The chicken chunks were itsy bitsy and mixed in with the dry sauce mix. We maybe had 5 tiny chunks in each prepared 1 cup serving. Also, it comes out to 10 - 1 cup servings not 14. We will be adding chicken to what we have already purchased and look for an alternative. We purchased this in the 6 pack meal variety. Not certain if the value is there if no meat is in it. You decide...
