I have used this product for years and now I was so happy to find that Walmart sells it. Was the best price I could find on the Net and they delivered Super Quick.
This does NOT taste like powdered milk-- it's been mistaken time and time again for real milk at my household. Absolutely love this stuff for baking and drinking!! I've even made ice cream with it and noticed ZERO differences. Definitely a staple in my house.
This product is by far one of the best I have found in a long time. Mixed and chilled well it tastes just like 2% milk. It has to be mixed well and chilled but a great substitute for milk. I could never finish a container of milk before it got sour. Now I have fresh milk always. Even if you are put off by the thought of "powered milk", try this product. It doesn't keep more than a few days after mixed, but I only mix a small amount at a time. A can lasts a long time. Try this, you won't be sorry.
This product is most like milk of any that we've tried. It is easy to mix. It stays in solution; that is, you don't have to shake it every time you use it. It tastes very much like milk, and you can use it in cooking exactly as you would use milk, not so with soy milk. It has the further benefit of being able to be stored long-term, up to 25 years. It also seems to retain its freshness in the refrigerator longer than our mixed soy milk. Truly an outstanding product.
This is by far the best powdered milk I have ever tried! (I hate powdered milk! - And I've tried a bunch of them!) Once it's mixed and refridgerated overnight, you can't tell it from regular 2% milk. (If you didn't know, you wouldn't know!!) I've not tried it yet, but I'm sure if you made it more concentrated it would pass for whole milk as well! I even made pudding with it for Thanksgiving and it turned out perfect! As it's just my husband and myself now, we don't use much milk and I've ended up throwning away gallons because we can't use it before it expires. You can make as much or as little as you want. After opening, the can it will stay good for up to a year! Now we have milk whenever we need it and no longer worry about wasting it! What a lifesaver!
This was my First time trying Morning Moo. I have always read very good reviews on it, and just decided to try it. I first mixed it in cool, tap water, and it was a little hard to mix. Took a lot of stirring. My first taste test was that it was somewhere between Good and Excellent. In my next mixture, which was larger, I used "warm" water, and it mixed much easier. I mixed it in an old milk container which had been thoroughly cleaned, and left it in the fridge over night. The next morning I drank a small glass full, and was very pleasantly surprised. I then poured some of the remainder over cereal and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thoroughly recommend Morning Moo for both everyday use, and for long term storage. Well worth the money.
I needed a way to keep milk in my shelf-stable pantry. I am a big fan of Parmalat Whole milk in quarts because they are shelf-stable and long-term, but they are not easy to find locally. I have never been a fan of nonfat powdered dry milk simply because I never was able to get it mixed well and the taste left a lot to be desired. However, Morning Moos Milk Alternative mixes well by using warm water to mix it, (I use my blender on the highest speed to do that,) then placing it in the refrigerator to chill overnight before using it. I find the taste is very similar to real milk, and is not unpleasant in any way to drink as a milk alternative. I also like that as long as it remains unopened, the can will last ten years. Once it's opened, it still lasts for a year. Each can makes 5-3/4 gallons when mixed with warm water. I use it just as I would use whole milk. Thank you, Walmart, for carrying shelf-stable products that are good to keep on hand.
While I've had very good outcomes with all Augason Farms products, I was still surprised how Milk-like this is. Better than Milk in my opinion & works great for everything you might use milk in or for, but way cheaper & much longer lasting. The only extremely minor demerit is the very weak after taste, I only even noticed it after a bowl of cereal with the remnant drink-down. The after taste is actually pretty close to store-bought milk's anyway, just a slight lean to being more chemical. I haven't bought milk in over a decade & now I'll never buy it again, this is Moo-licious.
I use this product daily. I also store it for emergencies. I enjoy drinking it almost if not just the same as buying milk fresh.
I was hoping for something better, but this stuff is packed with bad for you corn syrup solids and tastes sweet. Milk shouldn't taste sweet. It should just taste like milk. This mixed up OK. No problems with that, but I couldn't get used to the flavor. Back to Nido for me. This stuff would be OK for cereal or maybe for cooking, but not just to have as a glass accompanying a meal. Wish I liked it better.
