i was confused by the way this product was charged to my credit card, my fault. the product we have used so far is excellent, the price per serving cannot be beat, shipping was extra fast. a good buy all the way around. duane19147
I am waiting for more specials of the same so we can add to stock food for use every day or long term. I hope that more specials come so we can purchase more
Got this 3/15/2013 for long term storage.Tried the beef terriaki out and it was great.Opened can and all I could see was white rice.Down it it it was silver mylar bag with freeze dried ingredinents.Very powdery with great deal of sizeable beef cubes in it.With freeze dried peas,carrots,red @green peppers.They were crisp and crunchey and tastey after cooking.Added some to microwave bowl added water.Said to cook 3min.Cooked mine 6 min to get done.Wow!This stuff is great.I've eat army mres and I give them a 5.This is a 10.28yr shelf life.After opening 30days refrigerated.No worry though cause this stuff will be eaten before that.
...but it it freeze dried and will be there if needed. Sitting in my basement and ready to go.

I bought this pack back in 2013 and have been eating through my stock for a move later this year. I finally got through the Mountain House, which all were excellent as well...but Pro-Paks are very-very pricey compared to Augason Farms. Well, I tried Augason for my very first time by the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was surprisingly good, though a tiny bit heavy on the basil. The Fettuccine comes out large and firm for a perfect pasta. Luke-Warm water and soaking for 30-minutes did nothing, so camping without heat doesn't work or would take extremely long to work. But, add actually boiling water and let stand for 15-minutes worked fine. Or, 3-minutes in the microwave and let stand also worked very well. The standard recipe is too much sauce for me, so I like Augason over Mountain House due to being able to put in less sauce (powder) or only half the sauce (powder) in my case.

We ordered this as a taste sample - it arrive quickly in all #10 cans. Tried Spaghetti with beef first. Can opened with hand opener easily. Noodle are loose and sauce is in mylar bag. 1. Noodles are measured by cup size - get a plastic measure to make this easier. 2. Noodles are all on top of sauce bag - you have to dump them out and lose some to get to sauce. 3. Sauce is measured in ounces. Have a measure for that. We used a scale. 4. It does not want to go back in can after making 1 serving for 2 people. 5. Flavor was pretty good. It was NOT offensive. It was a little thinner than we like and would add less water to noodles next time but that is a matter of taste. 6. Cooked in 1 pot in time stated. 7. We added corn and had garlic toast with it. Good serving size for the 2 of us. Overall, this would have been great had we know ahead of time about the contents and how to handle them. Camping or in low light it would have been a PAIN. Product quality was very good.
Have tried Augason 30 bucket before and was satisfied with it so I decided to get this one to go along with it. The bucket arrived without a scratch on it, but this thin cardboard box was starting to come open and several of the cans had small dents in them and there also appeared to have some kind of liquid that stained one label on one of the cans. There are alot of servings in each can and you need to use the contents. Directions say that it will last longer if refrigerated after opening.
