To start off I did receive this free as a product tester for Stellar Panel. And it's Big! Like the cushion and and harness and bulk of it is NICE. Like you can see and tell it grows with your child, and honestly I feel like my child is very safe in this car seat compare to others I have used. Only negatives (which are just two) there is no cup holders. Now I felt like that would of been such a huge plus! And then the greatest thing about it is also the smallest problem with it, I can't see out my back window (the side my child is on Obviously) the car seat is pretty big. And maybe because I drive a small car which also doesn't help the Situation. But either then that I loved the product. Would definitely buy and recommend to my family and closest friends. My favorite thing about this car seat is how easy it is to install. The manual makes it really clear how to install and the process was a breeze. I also liked how easy it was to adjust the harness height, there was no rethreading or annoying buckles to mess with which was great. Who has time for that with small children?! My 10 month old really seemed to like the car seat and was comfortable, I liked the extra padding from the insert to keep her safe. The car seat was not bulky and it definitely gave us more room in the front seat than her infant seat, which is great since we're a tall family. Another great bonus feature was the Velcro tabs on the side to keep the buckle out of the way when putting the baby in the seat. Such a helpful feature that other seats don't typically have. I was given this Convertible Car Seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it was perfect timing as we had just gotten a new car and my 7 month old seemed to be getting a bit big for his infant car seat so we were in the market for a convertible car seat. This one fits the bill perfectly! My first impression was great as the car seat looks sleek and stylish while also looking comfortable and safe. It has a plush infant positioning pillow for babies under 22 lbs (which we took out since ours is over that), and also has the head restraint head pad, which is like double protection. Other safety features I appreciate is the impact absorbing base (which I feel also provides a tighter fit/less slippery fit to the seat than my current brand of convertible seats), and the impact absorbing chest pads which is like a rubber backing for the chest straps, which I think will also help prevent the straps from twisting. Another feature I liked was it has little velcro pieces off to the side of the seat and on the bottom of the straps so you can stick the straps to the side instead of having to dig them out from behind your baby. The buckles were all easy to latch and unlatch too, and it was also a very easy installation process. Overall I feel this convertible car seat is comfortable, stylish, and safe and has some great features that are not on the current brand I use, and I will probably switch to this brand for future seats. A few weeks ago we received the Emblem 3 Stage Convertible Car Seat by Britax through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My daughter just turned a year so it was perfect timing for us. At first, when I saw the box, I was a little hesitant because it looked huge and felt like it weighed a lot. After getting it out of the box, my daughter immediately jumped into the box to play, while we started to look over the car seat. My initial reaction to the seat was how nice and sleek it looked. Right after, I noticed how slim the base was and that made me really happy. I immediately went to my car and installed the seat, rear-facing, using the LATCH connectors - it literally took me a minute to do it, so easy. I was beyond excited to see that the seat fit in my back seat next to the infant car seat base and my toddler booster that were already in the car. We are currently expecting our third so having a seat that could fit with our existing chairs was extremely important to us. As soon as I strapped my daughter into her seat I could tell she was loving it. She wasn't fussing around or trying to get out of her seat, she was comfortable! There is a good amount of padding for comfort and to cushion any impact that may occur. I also loved that the chest clip was rubber because it wouldn't bug her too much like the others that were hard plastic did. A couple of days into the car seat and my daughter threw up in her chair. It wasn't too bad so I spot cleaned and I was shocked how quick and easy it was to clean and how effective the spot clean was. There was no smell that remained or anything - it was great! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this Convertible Car Seat. I am extremely picky when it comes to car seats for my kids. Safety is my top priority followed by comfort for my child and this car seat checks both boxes. I love the steel frame on this car seat. It's very well made and the fabric is comfortable and soft as well. I've tried it out with my baby, toddler, and pre-k child and love that I can use it for all stages. All three kids seemed to like it. I like the look of the car seat. There are additional chest straps for added safety in a front facing position which I love. I also appreciate how easy this car seat is to install. We sometimes need to move car seats to our other car or to caregiver's cars and this car seat is one of the easiest to install using the latch system. It's also quite easy to switch from rear facing to forward facing. Aside from the safety features, my other favorite feature is the size: big enough to feel secure but narrow enough to fit with two other car seats in the same row. There are also little Velcro spots that hold the seat belt open while putting the child in that makes it a breeze. The only complaints I have about this car seat are that there isn't a cup holder and that the recline indicator was difficult to figure out. It's there but it's just a line on the car seat and not labeled so we had to search the instruction manual to figure it out. Neither of these would be deal breakers though because the safety, comfort, and ease of installation make this a five star car seat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Britax is one of my favorite brands of car seats. I have 2 young boys, and my husband and I have separate cars with needs to have 2 car seats in each car. I say this to provide background that I’ve had my fair share of car seat installations. Not only have I installed the now 4 car seats, but I’ve had to uninstall & reinstall those car seats multiple times due to travel, car changes, adjusting rear facing to forward facing, etc. Britax’s Emblem 3 Stage Convertible Car Seat was one of the easiest installations I’ve done thus far. I walked away feeling confident that the install is secure, tight and safe for my child. My 2 favorite features of this car seat, though, do not include the easy and secure installation. The top features that I encounter and am thankful for on a daily basis are 1) the easily adjustable harness and 2) the all black design. My first car seat had a rethread harness, and I will never go back. Once forward facing, you have to uninstall the seat in order to adjust the harness due to your child’s growth. This is a major deterrent for parents doing the right thing for their kid’s safety. THIS seat does NOT require rethreading & uninstall/install. Simply press the handle and raise the harness for your growing child or lower the harness for your younger child. This not only saves exhausted parents tons of times - I mean, these kids are always growing and who wants to spend their evening uninstalling & reinstalling a car seat - this feature is also safer for kids as it’s so simple for parents to place the harness at the proper height as soon as an adjustment is needed. I’m also a fan of car seats that don’t stand out with crazy patterns. I really appreciate the solid black material and enjoy how it blends in with my car’s interior. Since this is a Britax, I know that if I ever put the safety features to the test, my kids are in safe and secure seats. I received the emblem britax carseat in return for my honest review from weespring and stellar reviews. That being said, I would have probably purchased it anyway after shopping and reading about the features that make it one of the safest choices available at this price point. Side impact protection and the ease of installation make it a great choice for a convertible. We start from newborn in a convertible to bypass the additional step and expense of buying another one in a year or so. I've installed my fair share of carseats. I usually end up frustrated and sweaty after 20 min of fighting just for the seat to STILL have wiggle. For that reason, I never remove them for others to use when they take my kids. They just get the whole truck. The Emblem 3 Stage seat changes all that. Under 5 minutes at 1st install. I have never imagined a car seat could be so easy to install all the while keeping my baby safe and cozy. And of course it looks amazing in my truck! I have been using this car seat for a couple of weeks now with our 20 month old daughter. She is about 26 lbs and 30” tall. I was given this Convertible Car Seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First, the pros: The car seat is made with a very nice fabric that is easy to wipe down, if necessary. It is not heavy, definitely lighter than the car seat we used previously. There is Velcro on the straps and the side of the car seat. This is so great to hold the straps out of the way while loading a child in the seat. This would have been so useful to have when my daughter was younger. Installation was a breeze. The latch system is easier than others we have used, and it took almost no effort to get it tightened correctly. No more sitting in the car seat, pulling with all my might, and breaking out into a sweat! The car seat has a smaller footprint than other seats as well... this can be a positive, but also leads me to some of the negatives... Cons: The seat is very narrow compared to our previous car seats. This isn’t an issue with smaller children, but I’m not sure how comfortable it will be going forward as my daughter gets bigger. When the car seat is in the 3rd recline position, the seat still seems like it isn’t reclined enough. The manual says it should be between 30-45 degrees, and it was definitely closer to the 30. This made it a tighter fit to actually get my daughter into the seat when installed in the car. There is also no level on the car seat, which makes it much harder to gauge if it is installed and angled correctly. Every other seat I’ve used has had this feature, so that was a bummer. There is a lot going on with the straps. There are the soft shoulder pads, and then where the chest buckle is, there are also rubber pads that I found didn’t add function and got in the way more than anything. I found it a little more difficult to get a proper fit, but with practice, it gets easier. No cup holder! Our kids always have drinks, and not having a cup holder is an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker. Overall, this was a quality, safe, functional car seat. It had some nice features that others don’t, and with a few tweaks, I would definitely rate this one a 5. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
