I recived this seat as part of the parent panel, and I can honestly say that it's overall and amazing seat! The sensor safe (though I'd pray no one ever needs it) is supper cool and innovate technology and far advanced in the car seat world! I love this seat and if fits amazingly in both my husbands 2011 Honda Civic and in my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan! I would highly recommend this seat, my son whom fights his car seat (convertable safety 1st in my sisters car) went in to this eat with out a peep! I love that it's able to be used for taller children too! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have a 1yo in this seat, currently rear facing. He is 24lbs right now and he seems to be very comfortable in it! His head does fall forward if he falls asleep (as with a lot of car seats) but there really isn't a whole lot you can do about that. I have the seat in my Chevy Equinox and it fits great! It took about 30 min to install because I had no clue what I was doing, I've never installed one using the latch system so I made sure to check both manuals on where to put the seat and how to install. The cover seems pretty easy to wash and I love the look! I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
We really like these seats, we have two for twins. Easy to use and install. And can't beat the price either! Overall, very happy with our purchase. :)
Love the removable cover and easy to clean seat. It's perfect for my at-times car sick toddler. Installation was straightforward. Price can't be beat!
I love love this car seat! It will fit a newborn all the way up to an average 5 year old, it has very tall top harness slots, is very easy to use/install, has high sides for side impact protection and its affordable! The only down side that I have found is that the harness length is on the shorter side so it may not work for an older, husky child.
The Sureride is a great, long lasting and budget-friendly option. It lasts from 5-65 pounds and has a very tall shell so it will actually fit big kids. The seat does take up quite a bit of room front-to-back. My Odyssey is very roomy, but this was close to touching my front seat. The rear-facing foot flips forward, but when the seat was properly installed, it did not make contact with the vehicle seat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased this for our second car to eliminate logistical challenges of having a single car seat. I was looking for something inexpensive and safe and this car seat checks both of those boxes. Overall I find this to be a good purchase. I do find this car seat to be "less than" our Chicco NextFit Zip. The SureRide is more difficult to set up, more difficult to install, and seemingly offer is my child less comfort as there are not shoulder pads or a crotch pad. I do not look forward to uninstalling this car seat to adjust it to be forward facing as the install process was pretty frustrating.
This seat installs easily in the second row captain seat of my minivan. My tall one year old looks like he'll have plenty of time to rear face in this seat. I removed the pad under his bottom because it seemed to get in the way of a nice tight harness. The adjustable head cushioning is nice and doesn't get in the way of the harness as long as you position it at the child's head, not shoulders. Buckle and straps could use an upgrade, but they're comparable at this price point. The buckle is a bit annoying to buckle, and the straps tend to twist a little bit, so buckling is isn't as smooth as some more expensive seats. Overall, I'm very happy with the seat and would buy it again if I needed one.
I think the looks of the car seat are fine. But, I have some issues: I have a difficult time tightening the straps that go over his shoulder. You are supposed to get it to where you can slide only 2 fingers in. I find it difficult to get to this point. Additionally, I don't know if I like where the straps go across his legs. If this if for safeyty, I am good with it, but I wonder if it will really hold him in. The sensor works on two of them I bought and not on the last one.
The car seat itself is great and I'm happy with the purchase but I was sent one that had a manufacture date 15 months ago. So my 5 year car seat is not eveb going to last for 4 years.
