Hamilton Beach - 8-Quart Slow Cooker - Stainless Steel

I was so excited to get this crock pot. Sadly, the stainless steel outside was dented up on the face. Sounds like a small thing, but items are too pricey these days. I am not confident in its function because it's digital and taking a beating may have messed up the electronics. It will be returned.

It is supposed to be a good product. Have not used it yet. I was disappointed it was a delayed delivery (it was a Christmas present but delivered a day late)

This is very sturdy. The insert is ceramic and weighs a ton! Have a strong person handy to lift this! easy to use easy to clean (once you get it into the sink) Not for the occasional user!

Count down timer-plus, big plus-I initially did not want this big of a crockpot but I have the rm., and I wanted the count down timer which few have. Directions do say to not do frozen food, not sure, I am cooking ribeye and pork steaks today but-will cook brown beans next, super simple set up, I did use liners which I will include that I got 10 liners for around 5 dollars from amazon recommended by another user and they fit perfectly for super simple clean up since no dishwasher. I love hamilton beach products, I would count this a winner thus far. You can program warm, low or high and your time is in increments of 30min., it lets you pick the temp. it does not revert to one based on others say 4-6hrs. it put on high this crockpot does not do that, you pick the temp., you pick the time, I also love the count down to give you an idea, it will revert to warm after finished cooking. I love my new slow cooker. Used it last night for the first time it's very simple to use self-explanatory. I have a feeling it might get a little hotter than I thought even at low, because my Hawaiian chicken was a little dry, but my husband didn't complain. I'll see how it goes with other foods that I cook. But I love the huge size.
