The steamer basket is made well with small 'feet' on the bottom to keep our vegetables out of the water while steaming the food. I highly recommend this small mesh steamer basket for those looking to retain the nutrients/vitamins in their food instead of the water.
Item exactly as described
The basket is easy to use and can fit in about any medium to large size pots. This is great to steam vegetables and even seafood etc. Its easy to place and remove from the pot. The handle makes it effortless and safe. Also very easy to clean and store.
Love these for my electric pressure cooker/steamer, aka Best Buy's Insignia Multi-cooker. Fits real nice and having 2 different sizes is a wonderful option when cooking. A must have for anyone using similar type kitchen cookers.
This small mesh steamer basket is a nice addition to the Instant Cooker and can be nested or stacked with the Large Mesh Steamer Basket. It can also be used as a strainer. This steamer basket is made from stainless steel and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The high feet keep your food from touching the boiling water. The size is perfect for steaming food for two.
I have an 8 quart instant pot and this fits perfect in it! I have used it to steam vegetables. I like this one better than my silicone one since it has more structure to it and is easier to lift out. I have also used it as a strainer for noodles!
This mesh basket is a good accessory to the instant crock. It's good for steaming fresh vegetables as a healthy choice. This basket also makes for a great strainer. We cooked shrimp and clams in it and they came out very tasty. It also worked very well for the steamed bread we like to eat at dinner sometimes or with a cup of tea. I would definitely recommend this mesh basket as it's worked very well with the instant pot.

I am new to Instant Pot, so I don't have a lot of recipes to work from... yet! All my friends hae told me to try hard boiling eggs. Well, I was given this Small Mesh Steamer Basket for an honest review. Perfect opportunity to try the eggs. So here is my review: I LOVE THIS BASKET! I have a 6 quart IP nd the basket is a perfect fit. 7 eggs fit perfectly inside the basket, and I didn't have to worry about any rolling off, before or after steaming. It took 5 minutes of pressure, 5 minutes NR, then I lifted the basket out by the convenient handle and moved to a cold water bath. After cooling, the egg shells slid right off and I was left with perfect hard boiled eggs! This Small Mesh Steamer Basket also stacks with the Large Mesh Steamer Basket, so I am excited to try some other things in this little marvel. Stay tuned! Not only do these give you double up space in the 6 qt Instant Pot, they are great for every day use in rinsing veggies or pasta. Love that they have feet the stand up in sink. Note that after washing these water tends to remain under the top rim and you have to shake it out.
