I just received this monitor a few days ago, and tried it out! So amazed by the picture quality and size of the monitor. I also appreciate that 2 cameras can be hooked up to the monitor. I am very excited about this product and I hope that the battery life lives up to its rep!
Purchase this monitor instead of summer infant that broke after 1 year of use and I can definitely see difference from the beginning. Arrived with in 3 days of transaction processed on the net. Was super easy set up with easy few step instructions. I love that monitor is huge and you can see whole crib and every corner of it as well as camera light light is super soft compare to other brands that I used and does not disturb baby sleep. Overall it is great quality product I would definitely recommend to my friends and relatives with baby.
We bought this monitor after returning a summer infant monitor. There is no comparison, the Amara is excellent! The HD video is so clear, the touch screen is big so you have a clear view of baby! The battery life lasts so long ! So far we love this monitor !!
I bought the Amara system and also an extra camera. One camera for each child's bedroom. I love the side by side feature! The camera that came with the system was very clear and a nice picture BUT the extra camera I purchased was very blurry. I contacted customer service through live chat on the website and they took me through several steps to troubleshoot the problem. When nothing helped they replaced the camera for me! The return process was easy and quick. I only had to pay for the return shipping to send the faulty camera back to them. I had the new camera within 1 week delivered to my door! I was very impressed! I also like that you can put the camera on "sleep" mode. When it's on the bedside table the monitor goes black on sleep mode and doesn't turn on until there is noise from the babys room and then the screen and sound turn on. This is a wonderful feature for mom and dad getting some sleep! This also keeps the battery lasting for a very long time! I'm very impressed with the range of this monitor. We can be up at the front of right back at the back of our property and still have reception. Really I couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase this and I recommend this to friends!
I got this as a baby shower gift about a month ago. I can't believe how large and clear the screen is. Having the 7" screen is really nice, compared to other smaller screens that I've seen, it is great being able to hold the screen in your hand and get a clear, large image of the baby (almost the size of an iPad!). I think the battery life on this monitor is fantastic. I feel like I never have to charge it! Top it all off, the sound quality is great - even if the baby stirs gently I hear it. Before requesting this specific video monitor I did a lot of research and Levana by far got the best reviews for battery life, range and visibility. I look forward to using my monitor for years to come! Highly recommended!
Just purchased this monitor to replace a Summer Infant model that had a horrible video feed. The video quality is good as is the sound with hardly any delay. We haven't tested the mulit-cam function and haven't had success with the talk to baby feature but haven't really given it a real go. For the price, it would be nice to have a pan/tilt option from the monitor screen or wi-fi/internet monitoring. We would have gone with a security/webcam if they didn't have to be hooked up to the net. As far as baby monitors go, I'd say this is the best option so far.
The screen is massive and video is clear even at night, giving us peace of mind. I love that I can put the screen to sleep but still have the sound at night so that the screen isn't shining in my face when I'm trying to sleep. The temperature and battery alerts are really helpful too.

It did however recently start start showing "no signal" sometimes I can't get it to work for hours.... I do hope it's just a coincidence as up to this point I really loved it! Also the live chat support was helpful.
I bought this a month ago, the screen is a little too large for my liking. I like the features it has although zoom is a useless blur. Daytime video quality is decent but unfortunately my baby's room is always dark or dim so the quaility is pretty terrible. I can barely tell if she should moving or it's just the video quaility flickering. Any movement in light or darkness is a blur. I expected better for the Brand and price. Seems it's impossible to get a good video quality these days.
I don't know where Levana gets off calling this a "vivid HD touch screen." Out of all of the camera/monitor combos we've tried, (and we've tried a lot), this product is one of the worst. Why? Because the image on the screen looks like what you'd see in a FunHouse mirror. Our baby's body was all elongated and stretched out. It was not a realistic or clear or vivid image, let alone a "high definition" image. In addition, if there is any light in your baby's room, the image on the screen is incredibly dark. So dark that you have to stare and squint in order to actually see your child. The only time you can make out anything is when it is pitch black in the room...and again, as I stated above, the image is all warped and distorted. We were really disappointed.
