Ourple rice is the best rice I have ever tasted. It has a rich auroma and flavorfull nutty taste that complements other foods well or can stand alone as a quick snack from the fridge if percooked. Cleanup is easy if done right away and the inkyness comes from the rice itself looking like the water has turned blake while cooking.All in all this is rice at its best.
Tastier than the regular long grain black rice and priced right
Very flavorful, aromatic rice. Soft too. Only disadvantage is that the purple color coats the pan and is a challenge to wash off.
rice came out a bit grainier than I was used too..I mixed it with Basmati rice, to give a smoother texture to the dish, and to soften the nutty flavor....Everyone loved it
No one was missing out when this was "forbidden." It's an interesting taste, not bad, but mostly a novelty as opposed to a delicacy.
