This is one of our absolute favorites. One day, after a hike on the Florida Trail, we wanted some lunch. My girlfriend had never tried a Mountain House meal before, so I grabbed this one from my stash. She was skeptical, but after a few bites she was sold! The flavor is so solid, rich, and just a bit spicy. The pasta and beef rehydrate perfectly (as long as you follow the directions!) It's filling and hearty, and makes a great meal after a long day. There is always one in our pack, and a few around for a quick meal at home. MH has the best freeze dried around!
So good even my picky kids will eat it. As a long time customer I love the chili Mac and beef.
I love all the Mountain House meals but Chilli Mac is one of my favorites. i carry an extra C Mac on every hike in case I need an extra comfort meal. I keep a stock in the house too. Justin case
Chili mac with beef is my favorite mountain house meal. The beans reheat consistently, the flavor is excellent, the consistency is great even if you add a little too much water. I usually bring some Fritos and powdered cheddar to add in for Frito chili cheese

I have been eating this for over a year and it is one of my favorite Chili dishes. It's quick to fix and can be doctored up with cheese and onions. Really delicious.
Mountain House makes the best ever foods. Everything they make, except personally I don't like the scrambled eggs and bacon, is like home made or at least restaurant quality foods. Plus it is so simple to prepare, just add hot water, wait a few minutes and eat it right out of the ziplocked pouch. Great food that is light enough to take on long hikes or bike rides. I also use it when I'm just to lazy or tired to cook at home. At my local store they stopped handling the larger 4.+oz pouches and there just isn't enough carbs in the smaller 2.+oz pouches to sustain a 6' 205lb man on a hike so I ordered these online. P.S. the zip pouches are a great, no mess way to take your trash out with you. Please don't leave your trash behind. i like the idea that I'll have long term foods for when the Nation goes into a massive shutdown and all food distribution stops.
This one was very good, does not need any additional spices. You get a lot for could almost feed two with this (if you had to). Extremely easy to prepare.
ready in minutes, tastes just as good as if i just made from scratch.
