A little expensive but actually a fair overall price for a high quality and very safe car seat for our 1 year old which can be converted to a safe booster seat when he's big enough
The seats fit nice and snug and the kids loved them, unfortunately I had to fit 3 across in my Jetta and I hadn't done my research. After configuring the two recaros and the baby seat I was able to get the bases snapped in, but the baby seat wouldn't clip into the base. I've done 3 in my backseat before but the recaros are just a bit bulky up top for that. Don't get me wrong, the bulk is a good thing for child safety, and these will definitely keep them safe, but it was either exchange the car seats or trade in for a new car..
Great car seat, delivered on time to the Bradenton Store, where we had very helpful assistance from the ladies when making the order and when collecting it. Would strongly recommend Walmart.com.
This is the BEST SEAT ever for our family! I spent over a year looking into a new seat for my 3 yr old. I was having a hard time due to his size and medical issue. I order the seat in blue. Had super fast shipping. Could not get over how heavy the box was when we got it. But to see how well made the seat is worth every single penny!!! My son has Cerebral palsy and a few more thing's wrong with him. Before was not crazy about going on long ride's....now HE LOVES IT's! We love that it has so much padding for him . And will grown with him....and not something he will out grow in 6 month's time. ~Pro's for us . Will last longer Lot's of padding in the right area's Well made!!! Easy to clean!! ~Con's for us No cup holder (ONLY THE MESH holder) It is harder for him to do it. So we bought a old style cup holder to put in it.
I really love our new Recaro car seat. It's quite a beast but very secure and extremely sturdy. My son had out grown his Britax Roundabout and I was looking for a seat that would last us a while. I did so much research and found the Recaro to be a favorite among parents...not to mention the safety ratings. I chose the Marine color and I am very happy with its appearance. My only complaint is the belt positioning system for the five point harness. There is not a space in the back of the car seat where you would normally loop the belt. You actually have to lift the fabric on the back of the seat and bring the belt through the seat itself. Unless you have the belt positioned perfectly when it's tightened, the belt doesn't lie flat and can be quite uncomfortable for the child. I watched a few YouTube videos to get a better idea when installing the seat. Now that I have it in correctly, there have been no complaints from my son. His father ended up purchasing the Graco Nautilus. I have nothing positive to say about that seat. The latch system is the worst ever and after having my son in the Recaro, the Nautilus seemed so cheaply made. Not to mention, the Graco was the most difficult seat I have ever installed! Think about trying to install a seat, in the middle of August, in the south...I was not the happiest of mommas. GO with Recaro and save yourself the headache. Of course, you will need to adjust for the height of the child. After reading the instructions a few times...I was finally able to grasp exactly what I needed to do. I just had my son sit in the seat a couple of times until the straps and head rest were at the appropriate height. One other thing to also consider, when a child reaches 40 lbs, all car seat manufacturers and safety standards now require you to use the belt instead of the latches. I chose to use both. I have that seat in so tight, it will barely budge at all. I would definitely recommend the Recaro!
