Great Humidifier Water Treatment Additive for Hard Water along with keeping your unit cleaner for safety and health too. I usually add a table spoon with each tank fill, and this will maintain the efficiency of your unit and make it much easier to clean. Wick's last longer and stay cleaner.
We like this product in our humidifier Filters seem to last longer and it does not leave any residue on the equipment
I have a 2 gallon humidifier & city water. I would have to clean this almost every day as it would get hard white residue & get dirty quickly. With a capful of the Sunbeam Water Treatment, I clean my humidifier once a week and then I have a little bit of a brownish residue that wipes right off. This stuff is great!
Helps with white dust that accumulates on furniture, etc. when running a cool mist humidifier. We seem to need a little more than amount directed, but not much.
I use a humidifier every night during winter and every day that I heat my house. I use the water treatment, just a small amount, in every single refill of the humidifier. The treatment is a huge help to keep mineral scale from attaching to the heating element. The humidifier is so, so much easier to clean with the treatment. It is odorless and impossible to detect in the heated mist. The price per bottle is great compared to other treatment products. I definitely recommend it!
I have very hard water so I need to use water treatment in my humidifiers always and more than that suggested. This works very well and this is the best price I have found.
A good price on a good product. I use it in my warm mist humidifier and it makes the hard water scale much easier to remove. Without this additive, the scale forms a hard, concrete-like residue on the heating element and is a pain to remove. This product has made my life so much easier this winter.
This seems to be working as we do have less deposit on our humidifiers. However, most are 1 gallon tanks and since 1 capful is for 3 gallons, it is very hard to measure out. So we are probably using too much. When we put round filters in the heating pot, they often now disintegrate instead of getting hard. There is no listing of ingredients on the bottle. If I were to mix it in a 3 gallon bucket and leave some around, would it be dangerous to pets? Can I mix it with bleach or use it after using bleach to clean the units? Easier measuring and more information would be nice.
I use it in a large humidifier and it definently helps with hard water which I have extremely hard. It makes the filter last much longer. But you have to put it in EVERY time you fill.
This does help with the lime buildup and will allow you to fill your humidifier seven to ten times before you have to clean it with a de-liming solution, I use vinegar and water at a 50/50 mixture. I was hoping that this would make the de-liming solution unnecessary or faster. I still have to let the solution work for five minutes before the deposits can be removed easily. With this product the number of times you have to clean your humidifier will be reduced. Before buying and using this product I was cleaning my humidifier once every third use.
