I don't use much data as almost everywhere has free wi-fi, so I buy this card which rolls over until you use it all. Not much for a teenager probably but 5 gb lasts me about 3 months.
Conveinient, wish it would cost a little less
I Dont use a large amount of data so this is perfect for me. I spend 10$ every few months for data
Just a few days before renewal on plan and needed data!!!
Love this ADD ON plan that carries over....now I buy the $25 card...and put the add on to my account and it can sit there and be used if I ever go over my data, and I love that it doesn't expire each month with the other card. Good deal!!
Easy and fast delivery!
They should call this the Lifesaver, it makes running short on data almost painless with the other great features of rollover to the next month with your active account or do like I am, just keep it on hand for instant backup when you mis calculate your data use. Total has been a very rough ride with horrible customer support, a website that occasionally works, cell service that should be three bars at 4g lte but was either not working or barely on flickering bar at 1G so actually using in any way was hardly possible or just plain not functioning. Checking your data usage is another guessing game while I have found an excellent work around for all Total problems which is to call their parent companyTracfone at 1-800-626-4883 instead of wasting time with Total's support and you will get the help you need from people who know what they are talking about that you can actually understand and hear to resolve your problem without excuses and lousy connections....this is the reason I have stayed with Total but for the reasons above they need to really step up their game because few people would have my patience to follow through which thanks to Tracfone's willingness to work with me....we have made it work quite well no thanks to Total's support!
Be careful. I found out the hard way. Unfortunately after adding 3 $25 total wireless cards to my account online, I come to find out, the $10 data cards don't work with the $25 card plan, only the $35 and up plans on total wireless. It's great if you have wireless at home to rely on but if you're out away from home like me half the time, I have no data to rely upon, which was why I bought the $10 data card. I just wish someone out there had warned me before adding on 3 $25 cards, that I have no data except on wireless even if I add on this $10 data card as I did. It's quite frustrating especially if you don't use a lot of data and trying to save money, especially being a single full time parent with a limited income.
But the card clearly states FOR ALL PLANS. Your post was in 2016, this is now 2018. I'm on the $25 plan and I have data away from my home wifi. My only complaint is there are not enough towers in my area. Someone needs to invent a booster, be it internal (phone) or the towers themselves.
I purchased the Total Wireless SIM card expecting to use it on a trip to NYC. I needed a service that offered a fair amount of data per month. I verified my iPhone 6s is compatible with their network. I activated the card with a new telephone number and the 3GB data for $35 service using a credit card.. The voice and text service were available immediately upon activation. The voice quality of the calls were not good. There was no data connection. I called the Support number and representative #1 attempted to help. I could barely decipher what she was attempting to say. It took her several minutes to successfully communicate a short website address. After a half hour she gave up and asked me call back in 15 minutes when another support person would be available. I refused and demanded immediate service. She forwarded my call to another person. Support rep #2 had a better grasp of the language, but knew nothing about activating the data portion of the service. I waited online for another half hour while she read screen after screen of information. She finally gave up and passed me on to another person. Support Rep #3 could speak English well, but the connection was very poor through his telephone. He promised to get the data working in a matter of minutes. After 15 minutes he gave up and asked me to call back in 48 hours. I told him the SIM card was purchased specifically for the current trip. I demanded a refund. I am waiting for the refund to go through ... it may take a few days to get my $35 back. I will have to eat the $10 cost of the SIM card. Horrible experience. If they can not provide data service on an iPhone 6, one of the most popular phones in the country that is saying a lot about the skills and training of the support staff.
