Roku - Streaming Stick with Voice Remote with TV Power and Volume - Black

I bought this a couple of months ago. At fist it worked well. Now the remote is unresponsive. Because of this I do not have access to Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, and HBO. There is no one connected to Roku who is responsible for customer service. This makes me believe they know there is a problem with their equipment and do not care. I find this to be a horrible business plan. My recommendation is DO NOT BUY THIS!

Ive been using this Roku stick, and never had a problem. Then It would start messing with the picture on my tv. It would Zoom, Wide Zoom, it is so bad that you cant even see the people only the walls or something stupid. When I used regular channels the pictures are just fine. So whats the deal? My remote just stopped working. No clue.

Ours worked fine up til this week. It does automatic updates. After the June 18th update, it no longer works. Tried software reboot, tried hard reset, took it out and let it sit off overnight then plugged it back in. Still not operational. The only thing that works is the right arrow on the remote. Nothing else. And we did try 2 sets of batteries in the remote as well.

I had this device not even a month before it started to overheat from using it for only 20 minutes. At first, I thought it was because I used it in the kitchen, next to my stove while cooking. Okay, my mistake, easy fix right? I swapped out the stick for my older model Roku premiere, which was in my bedroom. Same problem in that room, while the premiere never overheated no matter how much I was cooking. No matter where I moved the stick, it would overheat and advise me to stop using it. Fortunately it was still under warranty, so I finally had it replace, thinking it was just a defective one. But the new one, same model and everything, did the same thing! The research and Roku forums I read through told me I was not the first person to have this problem. This particular Roku has a serious design flaw that could lead to disaster. I recently threw it out and replaced it with a Roku Ultra. My advice? Save your money and buy the bigger sized Rokus. They are always flawless and work like a charm.

When I originally purchased the Stick, it would not allow me to register. I tried to call Roku but the hold time was a half hour. The Stick overheated on several occasions and had to be shut off. After only a year, it totally died. I decided to purchase an Amazon Fire Stick instead.
