Easy installation and immediate gratification, but beware: google has phased out support and some functions on earlier Nest devices, so purchase with caution.
It pays for itself in few months by the money saved in utility bills! And depending on your region/utility company, can get a rebate for some of the purchase price.
The instruction does not cover all my wires from the wall. But using Google AI, I was able to set it up correctly. A bit complicated to set it up. It took me 2 hours to set it up. After the wires are connected, I have to use the Nest app to set it up first. Once it works under the Nest app, then Google Home takes over.
Returned it . This google nest thermostat was advertised as “NEW” but received a used product in a poorly packaged white box. I have been ordering from online Walmart apps in the past but from now onwards I have to double think . I feel very cheated by Walmart or its Sellers.
So I got this and I programmed it and it was working great cause it turns on and off on my schedule and then it magically because Google or someone told it to change the schedule to what it determined was better for me and it was not and it was a pain in the rear to change it back It did a few weeks later. It decided it didn't like the schedule that you programmed into it so Google once again changed it so it would heat my house up when it felt like it. It made my bill go up Avoid this at all cost cause it'll cost you an arm in the leg at the end of the day.
