The Nest Protect was incredibly easy to set up. Once paired to the Nest app, it was a breeze to install, and even fitted the old screw mount for the knackered alarm it replaced.The reassuring green glow as I go to bed lets me know that the alarm is functioning. And, should I need extra surety, checking in on the automatic alarm tests couldn't be easier.We couldn't be happier with the Nest Protect and how little effort it took to gain peace of mind.
Needed to replace my smoke carbon monoxide alarm, I currently have Hive installed when I was told they did not have this kind of product I purchased NEST and it looks good and also lights up during the night time so you can see your way in the dark and can be monitored from your Phone, quite expensive but worth the money
As an electrician I've installed many different manufacturers of smoke detectors in houses, and i can honestly say these are by far the best I've used. So much so that I've brought Nest protect smoke detectors for my family. 10 detectors in 3 different houses, and I'll buy more when i need to.
Already have the thermostat so decided to install smoke alarms too, although expensive they do have some extra features, the pathlight is very good. Were easy to install myself and connect. Only down side is they have a 10 year life span and this was not clear when purchasing.
Whilst on holiday in the Philippines we recieved a warning to our phone that there was smoke detected by our nest protect on the landing in our home, 8000 miles away. When the second nest protect warned get out of the house we new this was serious. My son had fallen asleep with food under the grill and wasnt answering his phone. We phoned a friend who rushed round, extinguished the fire .
