Midland - MICROMOBILE MXT275 15 Channel Two Way Radio - Black

This is an excellent upgrade from my cobra CB radio. Installed in my 2010 Jeep JK Rubicon. Installed in the little storage space plate right below the locker buttons. And Midland customer service was over the top and helping me with any questions I had. Chose 6db antenna too. Thanks Midland!

I got this unit to replace my Midland CB in my Jeep. The clarity and range is phenomenal. with just the included min-antenna, I'm able to reach a repeater 16.9 miles from my house. It's going to be a game changer when I travel in conveys with other Jeeps and when we get to the trails. I hard wired mine to power and installed it under the passenger seat. The ability to control the radio from the handset made that possible. Changing the LED color to match my interior lighting was a cool touch. Time will tell about longevity, but if it's made like my Midland CB, I'll be enjoying this unit for many years to come.

I had a CB and Ham installed in my Jeep for trail runs, but found I hardly used them because everyone else I wheeled with just used GMRS, so this was a no brainer rather than using a handheld. Installation was very straight forward. I used hose clamps to afix the base mount under the drivers seat. I had to fabricate a small mount for the magnetic antenna. The hand mic/speaker feeds up alongside the center console, making it easy to use while on the trail. The included manual answered all the questions I had when it came to settings. Overall, I'm very happy with this radio, so I bought a couple for my sons too.

Love the product. New to GMRS radios and did my homework. Didn't want foreign-made product so was glad I found MidlandUSA. Looked at a lot of reviews and videos before purchasing this radio. Will probably purchase the MXT400 for another vehicle/permanent install. I like the portability of this radio to other vehicles using the car's DC supply. Still learning how to properly use it, but very happy with the purchase.

I've wanted the MXT275 for a while and for my birthday the wife surprised me with it! I installed it into my Jeep for a hard wired, high powered radio while out camping and off roading. I also have some Midland handhelds that are great but I like knowing I've got more power and options on the big radio. I love it so much I bought a second one for my tiny camper trailer. Now, while I'm roaming around in the Jeep away from the camp site, we can still get ahold of each other. I was a comms guy in the Army. I guess some things never change.
