5,200 BTU Haier Window Air Conditioner with Mechanical Control

Years ago I purchased a window a/c unit with similar BTU rating. I had it in a similar sized room as the one this model is now in and it was amazingly cool even on low settings. I have the Haier 5,200 BTU set to 10 (max cool) and the fan at high speed. My room was 86 degrees when I turned it on 2 hours ago and it just reached 79. Sure it's comfortable, but I would think it would be cooler and take less time.

I think that this cooler is such a good value. It fits in my moms window just perfectly and cools her room very quickly and satisfactory. It is easy to maintain and it also looks very cool and sleek. I would recommend this product to any body that asks.

I bought this summer of 2006 for only $88. It works great! I'm not sure how well it would work in a larger room but in my bedroom it cools it down fast.

I bought this AC to install in a small camper. It's plenty powerful enough for that use, although I think it would be a bit weak for anything over 100-150 Sq Ft. It's not the quietest but not the loudest either. Overall it is about what you should reasonably expect for it's cost.

this a/c is really great. i love how small and quiet it is. it cools very well too, and fast. i was overall very please with the a/c, but i was really disappointed with the delivery. when it finally got to my house, the box was all smashed up and the side panels on the a/c (the wings that make a seal between the open spaces) were cracked! so i had to find another way to block the outside air from coming in. the a/c itself works fine, i just wish the delivery was better.
