Royal Sovereign ARP-9011TL Portable Air Conditioner

I bought this air conditioner last August and only used it a few times then and it seemed perfectly fine but this year with the high humidity, not so good. I bought this to make life easier as it is supposed to return the moisture in a fine mist back into the room without having to empty the tank. Well, instead of a fine mist, the water came out like rain spreading over 2 meters wetting my floor and furniture. This feature was not made clear in the instruction booklet and when I phoned the company, I was told that in high humidity, you have to empty the interior tank. The spout for this tank is about 1.5 cm from the floor, as I told the manufacturer's service dept., so the water will only flow into a very shallow container like a lid and , of course, this spills easily and doesn't hold much anyway so I had to do more mopping up. I am a senior with a bad back and knees so trying to lift it into a higher container and tilting it, put me in pain for the next couple of days. Plus it has to be emptied about every 4 or 5 hours. I was told that this is the way it works and is not defective????? Well, it is badly designed and a LEMON (except in dry weather.)

I recieved this product and havent been able to use it and in TX you need it. WHY well it was missing the window slider I have called and I have sent several emails to the company with not one bit of a response I have emailed 3 different people in the company and called several time they will not respond !!!! Very mad..

Unit was purchased for elderly parent. We put it in her apt. (They don't allow window air conditioners so the window vent hose is great!). Unit is a little noisy, but work great and cools well. The only problem is the air hose came unglued to the window fixture and we had to duct-tape it on. Overall, I would recommend this for places you need a portable or can't use through-the-window models.

I loved the outside design of this product. It's very compact and looked good. It was working very well for a few days, then all at once it started making this horrible noise and the next thing I knew I had water spilling out from underneath. The water tank that came with it never even filled up. Apparently it had been leaking all along because my carpet is ruined! So I returned it to Walmart.

I bought this air conditioner because we have crank windows. The window kit was useful however the unti barely cools my house. I live in a ranch (not very big) and it doesnt even cool the living room where it is located. Definitely keeps the house tolerable to sit in on a muggy hot day, but by no means make it "cool".
