I bought this watch for my sons birthday. Considering he is in school I figured it'll be great for him to have a gps tracker on him and I can call him in case of emergency. Plain and simple it's horrible. Although they give you 100 emergency gps locations with your monthly service I clicked it 7 times one day when my son was on a school trip to see where he was. If never worked. I've come to noticed it rarely worked. It never even worked when we was home. His location would show he was elsewhere. I contacted the company and they said that I should trouble shoot the problem, which I did with them 3 times.. Still no progression.. I would never recommend anyone to purchase, God forbid I relied on this watch during an urgent time in need. Stay far away parents.

Im going to assume any good review about this product came from the company the company themselves. This is the worst product I have ever bought. It was purchased before Christmas as a Santa gift, and as most of you know early shopping bites if you cant return something after so long. The first one we had we tried to activate it and it said due to bad battery quality of this device we were going to be sent a better updated version. Upon receiving we activated this device and attempted to use it for the first time. It fell off my sons wrist, I had decided I would just piece the strap back together, but after days of trying to get this device to work, we soon concluded it wasn't worth it any longer. The GPS will not locate for anything, you cant hear each other when you make phone calls, the SOS button only called the first emergency contact and when I didn't answer it was suppose to contact the next one and so on and that did not happen, but guess what they charged us for 12 minutes used on that phone call. I tried calling there support number multiple times to just be hung up on by the automated system, give the number a call its one big joke and that will give you a hint. Then I tried email that also didn't work as I never received a reply. Finally chat on their webpage where much to my surprise didn't go over very well. The product was "damaged" by use so we do not fall under warranty and do not receive a replacement. YOU CAN NOT CANCEL YOUR PLAN ON THE WEBSITE SO BEWARE WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR ONE! Also this is ran by TMobile which they never tell you before you get this subscription. Well guess what doesn't work in my area TMobile, I asked several times in this chat if TMobile was the reason we were not able to use this device and NEVER got an answer. So I am making an assumption here but if you don't get TMobile in your area you can almost bet this watch will not work! LOOK ELSE WHERE BECAUSE THIS WATCH IS A JOKE!

Purchased this watch from Walmart on 1/7/2016 for my son. As I was registering the watch, I received a message from the Caref site which says your watch will need to be replaced. I completed the online form for the replacement and submitted the same. Today (01/13/2014) I received the replacement watch which was not the right color. I called sales/support and informed them that I did not receive the return shipment label that was indicated in the letter that can with the replacement watch and the watch was the wrong color. The customer service person said that I purchased the watch from Walmart, they do not send a return address label when it is being replaced. He indicated that I will have to pay for the shipping. So I asked whether they wanted me to return it to Walmart, he indicated that I must pay for the shipping in order to return the first defective watch. I will return both watches to Walmart. These people are utterly ridiculous if they think I am going to pay for shipping on a product that continue to sale although the know it is defective. These watches are still in stores and immediately after purchasing it, you need to pay to have it mailed to the manufacturer. That is crazy..

It took me awhile to understand this product after I purchased 3 of these for 3 of my children, but now I have to say it's pretty amazing. You get a watch with its own onboard GPS, SIM card (with its own network), micrphone and speaker. Where the magic happens is with the mycaref app which you install on your (the parent's) ios or android phone. It takes a bit of patience to set up the watches, choose the very reasonably priced service plans, and enter the emergency phone numbers/email, but once this is done everything is very clear: I have a dashboard with my kids' watches and from there I can locate them on a map in detail or call them if I want to. The phone numbers are assigned for the units so can be added to phone contacts as well. The call quality is surprisingly good although not designed for legthy talk but only quick check-ins. Cons for me are the non-kid-friendly buttons (there's no touch screen). I found the buttons a struggle. It took some patience to press the button in just the right way to place a call. My kids did manage to do it but it was easier to initiate the call from my phone. It's overall awesome that the call feature works so hassle free (no trips to a carrier store to buy service and set up). We used the watches at Disneyland and everything worked well. The GPS reported location with good detail. I could see which ride my daughter was on for instance. However the GPS signal wasn't always available so sometimes tracking info would lag. You can send an emergency locate but this as well wasn't immediate and I'd say a disappointment. Bottom line is nothing else does what this product does and for this parent's piece of mind--priceless.

As a parent to a child with special needs, this watch has been a blessing in my family’s life. While special care and attention are still needed, this watch allows for our son to feel just like the other kids his age rather than one who always needs parental supervision. I could rave endlessly about this product! Our son is too young for a cellphone still so this makes for the perfect alternative. I love how this product is marketed simultaneously towards child safety and towards individuals with special needs. I wish this company nothing but the best and want to truly thank them for the positive impact that have made in my family’s life.
