It's easy to grip and doesn't hurt your hand. I love that it comes with a storage case. It's so easy to store away now. This is a great electric knife to have, and definitely needed for the upcoming holidays.

The blades are very sharp and it cuts very efficiently. I was able to easily and quickly carve up a ham. The blades assemble and release easily. The unit, blades, and included fork store neatly in a convenient case. Overall it has a sturdy feel to it and works as well as expected. The only possible negative is I would prefer a longer cord. It has not been a problem for me, but sometimes an outlet may not be close and a longer cord could be helpful.

No turkey or ham, so why not a cake? I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular knife for cake cutting. The blades slice thru the cake like butter! No crumbly mess on the plate at all. This was the most neat, clean cake cutting tool I have ever used. I'm looking forward to trying it on meatloaf. Now I can't wait for the holidays to arrive so I can test it out on a turkey. The case is a great feature. No more tangled cords in my cabinets. The case holds the motor & cord, the blades and a carving fork. Very convenient kitchen tool. I don't know how I went so long without one because this knife is really an everyday use gadget.

So do I. But I also use it for cutting foam blocks and sheets. It is difficult to make a clean cut through foam. One of the best ways is with an electric knife. The Hamilton Beach Electric Knife Model 74277 does it cleanly. It makes quick work of meat too. I have the black one. It is well built. Solid, sturdy, and durable. It comes with a removeable 8 inch reciprocating blade. The blade has a protective sleeve. A good thing to have. Also included is a meat fork to keep your work product steady. All of this is contained within a black solid plastic storage case. The knife is simple to use. Just insert the blade into the handle until you hear it click. Plug it in, pull the trigger and let it do the work. The electric handle feels good in the hand. It is balanced and easy to hold. The power cord is only 5 feet long. I find this to be somewhat too short but manageable. Overall, this is a good and useful electric knife. It gets the job done. I would recommend it.
