Nest Hub 7” Smart Display with Google Assistant (2nd Gen) - Mist

This is a good product but unfortunately it does not include instructions for installing it and connecting it to Goggle home. This installation was going well, connected to Wi-Fi etc. then it said to link it to my Google Home App but did not provide any instructions on how to perform the link, have tried several different ways to perform the link without success. Very frustrating and disappointing.

There is literally nothing you can do with this device that you cant do (and do much better) with any generic Android phone / tablet and a charging dock. This device is extremely laggy, difficult to setup, comes with practically zero nstructions whatsoever, has next to zero apps available for it (and no easy way to install them - you basically have to turn over your web / app history to Google, then it will 'suggest' apps based on what it 'thinks' you want). The clock faces are weird with extremely limited selections, and no way to add more. It has no nightlight feature (despite having a wake up light), extremely limited customization options, and in general is a pretty useless device. Am generally a fan of google home devices but this particular device seems to have no reason at all to exist.

I love this thing. It sits beside me when I'm in the living room and if I have a question it answers and generally shows me the verbiage, a picture of the subject or plays music. It can control my nest and google devices. When it's idle it shows me pictures that I have received or taken on my Android phone as well . It will also play music when I ask it to do so. It displays the weather, gives me the local AQI (Air Quality Index), the time and the date.

I purchased this because I had the Alexa assistant and it was not answering questions as quickly or accurately as it would have liked. with the Google name behind it I thought this would be a better option. it is not. I asked simple questions and it tells me that it doesn't know. when I go to my phone or my computer and type in the same question it answers it. I feel like I wasted my money.

i have roughly 40 nest security products. camera's (indoors and out) this is my second nest hub (smaller one) so we more than know how to set this stuff up and add it to our home. this however.... the whole box and instructions are in Chinese! have never seen that before! there are no other languages available for you. thankfully we knew how to add it. the problem is.... you can not view the camera. it wants you to connect to a TV and cast your screen to that and view it from there. it will NOT allow you to live view it or anything else besides use the TV to cast to. unless we figure it out it will be going back. we needed it for the live camera and other features. buyer beware!
