Vitamix - Personal Cup Adapter - Clear

I have the 5200 vitamix blender and the addition of the Personal cup adapter in not necessary and more work / harder to use than using just the vitamix itself. The vitamix 5200 handles personal size blends extremely well and is my preferred method. Maybe it's a better compliment to some of the other vitamix blenders. It is definitely a quality product and does the task well. It's just easier and more convenient to use the 5200.

I bought this set to make quick smoothies instead of using a big container. Every single time there is a leak and a mess to clean up, no matter what I try. See attached photos. Additionally the attachment (adapter) is quite cumbersome to mount and remove, and weirdly designed. The product is expensive enough to perform well, and the company should either offer a solution or redesign this particular model. Not worth the money for sure. I regret buying it.

recently bought the personal cup adapter in order to make individual smoothies that i could take on the go. the product is good quality but really needs some improvements in order work properly. the cup is a bit too small and the ingredients tend get caked on the bottom of the container (which is the top when you are blending). you have to be very careful in how you load the container. you need to put the frozen fruit in first, then any softer ingredients, add the water (or any liquid you are using) and then the protein powder. when you blend this puts the powder on the bottom of the container closest to the blades and you then have the best success in not getting the powder to stick to container. i basically have to make the smoothie in the reverse of how i would do this in a regular blender. if the container was a bit bigger with a wider base, i think it would work better. i kept the product because with a bit of fiddling it works but in reality the designers need to take another look at this.

I love my vitamix. I have several different carafe for it. I do a lot of smoothies and drinks with it. After my husband's recent dental surgery it has been a god send. However. This piece I'm not as pleased with the design. It is hard to clean. If you make a drink to go it leaves the base dirty or you have to try to clean it by hand. This is hard to do with the blades permanently attached to the base. To clean it as advised by vitamix you can't take the cup with you. That's the point of this type of cup.

I love, LOVE my vitamix, but this personal adapter cup, not so much! It is very difficult to close and open for a senior with arthritis in the hands. The second time that I made a smoothie I had to wait until my husband woke up to help me open the container (How many seniors does it take to make a smoothie?) I would have returned the product but I think it is too late now
