Great works well easy to setup
I like this label maker so much, I bought a second one as a gift for a friend. The features are easy to use, the menus are easy to navigate, and the labels come out great. As a few reviewers have mentioned, there's some waste of blank tape at the beginning and end of each printed label. However, that waste can be reduced by selecting narrow margins in the format options. Unlike some other label makers, this one can accommodate a couple of different tape widths, and there are plenty of Brother tapes to choose from.
It's perfect! Ive been using it every day since it arrived. There are so many added features on the printer. I think I might run out of printer tape before my order for more comes. I thought I had the right adapter cord for it so I didn't order one. when I tried the three that I had, I kept getting an error message. I have ordered the adapter for it now. It takes 3 aaa batteries, so have those on hand. I suggest using both the batteries and the cord.
This was a great device for my classroom! No cords; easy to carry; and much less expensive than other models. It worked fabulously for about 3 years (I used it a lot, so I got my money's worth), then quit. I bought another which had the same error and was getting frustrated. But customer service was great and shipped me a replacement which is working great! Highly recommend.
Given the price point this is fairly decent and probably better than most of the competition. It has a few fonts, borders, icons and a few letter sizes along with your basic menu functions, no glitz no glamor. But we're talking about a budget on the go label maker here. Also has a wire label function which for me is awesome! Things I wish it had: A back-lit screen for dark situations A way to upgrade software for better options A lithium chargeable battery and charger A battery life indicator At least 6 batteries to get you started But...like I said, given the price point this is still pretty good and fine for my needs. Handy dandy little label maker that will get tons of use from this feller!
This label maker is easy to use and self explanatory. However, since there is no backlight it is extremely hard to read the screen and to verify content, size, font, etc. I would look for one that has a back light. I contacted customer service but there is no way to enhance the viewing
This is a solid entry in the hand-held label-maker class. While the buttons feel weird to me and seem a bit small for my large hands and fingers, they work well and are not difficult to use. My only real complaint is that much like all Brother label-makers, they eat up a lot of tape for no reason, because even though I've cut down on the margin and excess tape at the end of the printing, it still feeds an inch or so before it starts printing, and I can't make it not do that. There's no reason for it to waste that tape except to get you to buy more tape more often, unless there's some actual design issue that needs for it to do that. However, other than that, this is a great product for a great price.
Are use it all the time. I have one for the winter home to wouldn't be without it. The only problem I can see is what I have to do. Special characters is always very confusing for this old lady.
Easy to use, I like that it has a couple of font and font sizes as well as borders. Buttons could be easier to push, but overall it works really good. I haven't had any issues with labels jamming which is nice. The only thing I don't like is the excessive amount of blank tape on both sides of the label. It costs too much money to keep replacing the tape reel after not getting that many labels out of one roll. Probably going to return this and buy one with smaller margins
I have had a brothers p-touch before at work but it had real buttons. I'm afraid that this rubber pad will stop working after a while like your remote control for the car does.
