I am new to Boca Java and am currently in the process of sampling all of its dark roast coffees. So far I have not found one that I do not like, but I will say that Light Up Las Olas ranks up at the top right now. It is among the three that I have sampled thus far (I think I have three more to go) and all were extremely fresh, very smooth, with very low to no acidity. The beans are roasted to a perfect dark brown, glistening with beautiful oiliness, but there is not a hint of smokiness in the brew. Light up Las Olas is just as good at the bottom of the cup as it is off the top. I call myself a coffee connoisseur, but really all I know if what I like. I can't spout out all the so-called subtle flavors and delicate aromas--I just know a good cup of joe that suits my palate. This one certainly fills that requirement.
Every morning, I brew a pot of Light Up Las Olas in my drip Mr. Coffee with a thermal carafe. That pot gets me through my morning routine in the office. Light Up Las Olas is the smoothest dark roast of coffee I can get. I have tried them all, but this is the one I'm sticking with.
This is my favorite Boca Java Coffee. I've tried others but when I tasted Light up las Olas that was the one I knew I would buy. I don't try the others any more. I love a bold coffee and have always enjoyed a famous coffee company. But I would actually choose LULO over that coffee every time. Love it!
I stayed in a Ritz Carlton in Laguna Beach California and just absolutely fell in love with their coffee. I searched all over trying to find the same coffee. Then, one day while sitting in a coffee shop in Florida the barista poured me their house coffee and I couldn't believe it...there was that same flavor I remembered so well. So now I joined the coffee club and I have that very same coffee every morning. I've tried other brands, flavors but they just don't compare. Light up Las Olas makes for a great cup of coffee!
This blend is greatest for breakfast, but is also useful as a dessert beverage even though it is not flavoured. It is as near perfection as any coffee and we are in Washington where awesome coffee is low grade. Las Olas beats all Washington roasters large and small.
When I order coffee, I always order Light up Las Olas. I haven't found a coffee that I like more. While most coffees have an aftertaste that makes me want to cleanse the palate, Las Olas doesn't disappoint. The flavor is deep and rich, and just opening the bag puts everyone around me in the mood for a great cup of coffee!
Love a great cup of coffee and getting packages in the mail. Pure joy!! I was a Starbucks drinker before my daughter gave a membership for Christmas. I open the bag and breath in the rich aroma, wait for it to drip and take that first sip ahhhh Agreat start to a great day
I love dark roast coffees and this is the best one I've found on the market. With it's rich and smooth bold flavor this is my every day coffee. It makes an excellent espresso that is so smooth that my friends who don't drink espresso ask me to make them one every time they come over. I highly recommend this roast.
After trying some of the other roasts that Boca Java offers, this one by far is my favorite. The flavor is so rich and smooth, and the aftertaste is wonderful, not bitter. I love to squeeze the bag before I open it to get that wonderful roast aroma. I am so addicted to LULO it even goes on vacation with us! My family knows that along with dessert, I'm bringing LULO to our holiday get togethers!
I usually stick to the light to medium roasts, but wanted to try a dark. has a good taste, not really bitter, just think i went too far from one extreme to the other. however, i still like this coffee. an eye opener, a get you really going type of roast. the aroma is truly wonderful. this is a coffee for those who are not shy about their coffee relationship.
