I love strong coffee and the Lush is a Medium Dark Roast, it has a great flavor. I also got Whole Bean so I always have super fresh coffee. I like the easy open and close seal, it's easy to use and helps to keep it fresh. I expected it to be more expensive than it was, so that's another bonus.
I am very pleased with the taste of this coffee. I prefer my coffee black and it was delicious from the first sip. The aroma of the coffee beans when the package was first opened was so bold and fragrant the taste did not disappoint. The fact that these coffee beans are 100% traceable fair trade and organically sourced is a PLUS. This product does not disappoint. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.
It is premium coffee at a budget cost! All the beans are traceable which is super cool. It is nice to know exactly where they came from. The coffee tastes amazing. The bag is resealable to maintain freshness. I have made a pour over, french press, machine drip, and cold brew from these beans and they all tasted amazing. I will definitely be repurchasing these beans.
This is a great tasting coffee that is organic and traceable fairtrade and seasonally sourced. Goes well with breakfast or anytime.
I am really enjoying my Ethical Bean Organic Coffee!. I tried out the "Lush" flavor, and am really happy with the taste and aroma of this coffee. The all organic ingredients are a plus, and being able to trace the beans from grower to processor is kind of cool! I chose the whole beans, because I like the freshness of grinding my coffee daily, instead of having it exposed to air for a long time.
This was a delicious cup of coffee. I bought the whole beans in both the Lush and Mellow flavors. I love how you can scan the code on each back and trace where your beans came from, learn about harvest area, and understand more about the style of that particular strength of coffee. Not only is it a lot of fun, but it's nice to know exactly where your food is coming from, and each bag you buy may be different, depending on the harvest season. In terms of the flavor, it's rich and smooth. There are no bitterness afternotes at all. And, I have a lot of problems with various coffees giving me acid reflux. I did not have any problems drinking this coffee-- both hot or cold. I normally like to blend my coffee with some protein powder and a banana. But this coffee was so smooth that even just adding a bit of almond milk, it still went down smooth and delicious (no need for added sugar!!). I was surprised that the price point is extremely reasonable for such a good quality coffee! And as a side bonus, the bags are resealable to keep your coffee fresher and lasting longer. Support the planet while enjoying a yummy cup of coffee. Even though its a medium/dark roast it tastes a bit more on the robust side. Its great that you can track it from the farm where it originates to the store where its sold. Even better is that the farmers are paid a fair price for their beans. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my honest review. I enjoyed this coffee very much! As a bit of a coffee snob, I am very critical of anything store-bought, especially something that you can get from a big box store. I have to say, this coffee was very, very good! Not as good as a local microroaster, or roasting at home, mind you, but leaps ahead of most other things on the big box shelf. I made this in my espresso machine as both straight shots and capps, and thoroughly enjoyed both. It had a smooth, uncomplicated slightly sweet taste. Not a lot of complexity, but not burnt like most supermarket coffee. I very much appreciated the ability to scan the QR code on the bag and trace the origin of the coffee bean from farm to me. It made me feel much better about my purchase than the suspect origins and business practices of the major brand name coffees. All in all, if I need to get something in terms of coffee from a big box store in the future, this will be it!
We were excited to try this coffee because of all the great features. Ethically sourced, fair trade and organic. The coffee was definitely lighter tasting and weaker than we are used to with a whole bean that we grind.
