This coffee is so good. I was able to try this coffee at a discounted price through Insiders but I will definitely be purchasing again. The smell just in the bag is amazing. Then your whole kitchen spells like that robust yummy coffee smell once it's brewed. The taste is just as good as it smells. It's fair trade and you can scan the QR code and see exactly where your beans came from. Very cool concept. Try it.
There is something magical about grinding and brewing a fresh pot of coffee and to find a product that is ethical sourced and fairly traded makes me even happier. Sat down this morning with my freshly ground and brewed coffee and really enjoyed the robust flavors. The taste was remarkably better than the Kirkland tub of coffee that I am currently drinking . The quality of the beans used are top notch and when you grind the beans you can smell the different characteristics of the beans as well. I love that you can scan a QR code on the package and learn about the origins of where the coffee comes from and how it is produced. . Overall I am impressed and glad that Walmart sells this product and feel like I am doing something good by buying a product that takes care of the community that provides it. Ethical Bean Mellow is a medium roast coffee, and so appropriately named because the first thought that came to mind to describe this coffee is "wow, this is really mellow." What an incredibly smooth brew! I bought the whole bean coffee, and after grinding a few cups, I couldn't wait to try it out. It smells invitingly fresh (I do appreciate small-batch products). One thing that stood out with this coffee is I noticed a swift jolt of caffeine that hit behind my eyesa strong wake-up call, for sure. I can't say I experience this with other brands, but I definitely felt more "zippy." The packaging says to add 6 ounces of water per 2 tablespoons, but I can push it to 8 ounces, and the result is not watery. Ethical Bean Mellow is now one of my new favorite coffees because of its quality and rich, smooth taste. Another highlight of Ethical Bean is that the beans are 100% traceable and come from a Fair Trade source. I feel good about supporting this type of transparent business model. I thoroughly enjoyed this coffee! The smell the taste the strength and the fact that you can trace your beans! So good! The whole beans have this amazing sweet smell and the freshness goes through The Whole house as you grind them up! The first sip warms your soul and takes y to a journey across the ocean! Will definitely be buying more of this!
The coffee tastes amazing. I think medium roast is my favorite roast, but their others are great too. I made coffee so many ways with these beans and it was great in every fashion but my favorite was my batch of cold brew. So smooth! It is premium coffee at a fraction of the cost! All the beans are traceable which is fantastic because I like know exactly where they came from.
My fiance and I heavily rely on coffee to get us through these days, as they tend to drag on during covid. We were lucky to be given the opportunity to try these coffees from Ethical Bean thanks to the Insider community. The mellow blend was my personal favorite as it had the perfect balance to it.
I was able to taste freshness of the coffee beans. I feel right amount of bitterness and sign of hazelnut aroma, as well as some sweetness. Decent coffee indeed, and obviously better than other coffees I picked up from grocery stores. I purchased it on July 21st 2020. And based on the QR code on the bag, it is roasted on 6/5/2020. I guess this can be the freshest coffee you can find from Walmart shelves. Highly recommended for those who want fresh roasted coffee at reasonable price. I absolutely loved Ethical Bean Coffee, it's an awesome product and even better concept. I even shared this with my mom who has been a Folgers drinker for mpre than 30 years! She loved the idea of being able to trace your coffee all the way back to the farm and to know that its helping with fair pay for farmers also. We were both impressed by the genuinely wonderful mello taste as well!This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.
My boyfriend and I have really enjoyed this medium roast coffee! We both love that it's ethically sourced, and it tastes excellent as well (a fantastic mellow roast). Each bag has an easy to use QR code on the back of them. The QR code takes you to a site where you can see precisely where the roast was sourced from (along with a map of the coordinates and a picture of the site). We would both highly recommend this roast and ethically sourced brand!
I recently picked up a bag of the Ethical Bean Fairtrade Organic Coffee, Mellow Medium Roast (I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion). This was the whole bean version of the product for use in my fully-automatic espresso machine. Compared to my current coffee beans, these made a good cup of coffee. I really liked the zip-lock equipped foil bag the beans came in. It is very convenient and made dispensing the beans into my machine and sealing the remaining beans a cinch. They also make it easy to distinguish between the whole bean and pre-ground coffee which is important if you have a fully-automatic machine. Another cool feature of this product is the QR code that you can scan to authenticate the origin of the beans with details including the lot and batch numbers. It is pretty cool to be able to trace the origins of your food sources like this. It also gives you access to the tasting notes and coffee profile which can be fun to read. There wasn't much sweetness to it, and it is not a very "bright" coffee but it does have a hint of chocolate on the back of my tongue and a mild earthiness. Overall it was a very pleasant cup of coffee made by these beans. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a pleasing and mild coffee (not overly bitter or strong) as a good alternative to their existing coffee beans. I also recommend this coffee for someone who is inclined to purchase organic and Fairtrade beans and looking for a change in the flavor profile of their beans.
